My wife and I were staying at the Westin resort and Spa; just a short walk away from the Marriott property where Longboard's is located. We had received $250 worth of gift cards to be used at a Marriott location and decided we would use them at the Marriott property for dinners while in Maui. Before arriving I had read many of the reviews here and thought that this may be a mistake. However, we have dined there twice already and have excellent food and service both times. We intend to go back a third time before the week is over. Not sure if some of the reviewers caught them on an "off" night for some reason; or just possibly people that can't be made happy! Give it a try; I doubt that you will be disappointed.

Longboards has very good food, but the Wednesday night PRIME RIB AND CRAB BUFFET is outstanding. Watch the sunset and enjoy this delicious all you can eat buffet at a very reasonable price!

This is such a fabulous location that it's a shame the food is so mediocre. As timeshare owners here, we expect better from Marriott. The salad was iceberg lettuce with tasteless tomatoes. The ono was tough and dry (even though we requested that it not be over-cooked when we ordered). Overall, very disappointing, especially for the prices. FYI - We are in the "over 50" age group.

Beautiful, open air restaurant on the beach walk at the Marriott . We had their Sunday night prime rib special which was good. Their " banana apple tart "' was just amazing.
Service was outstanding and the tables are situated so almost every one has a view of the glorious Maui sunset.

We've been to this Marriott property maybe 15-20 times over the years and this restaurant location has operated under many different names/managers. Longboards has been there longer than anybody. We usually get there for an average meal once during our stay when we don't feel like venturing out. This visit was different. We had ahi and mahi-mahi and the service was awesome as were the preparations of the fish. Very generous portions! In fact, this visit was much better than our experience next door at Sonz', but you can read about that somewhere else if you so desire.
