Had very average fish tacos for $34. Service was excellent. Key lime pie was good. Many better places to eat for that kind of money.

As a Marriott owner the restaurant is right there on site, so it is convenient. We ate dinner and were seated about 30 minutes before sunset, with a view of the beach and the sunset. There was a guy playing mostly Hawaiian music on the guitar. He did not talks no played continually and soothingly. Very nice touch. We have eaten here before but our most recent meal was the best. The blackened Opah was very buttery and moist. The ribs, shrimp and sashimi were also very good. The waiter came at the right times and the whole meal was a very nice evening.

I love it when the hotel where we stay has a great restaurant! When that's the case we tend to go there multiple times rather than getting the car out of the parking garage or walking - after all this was intended to be a RELAXING vacation!!
We tried it the first time for dessert with a coupon received at check-in. It was OK but not outstanding. We checked out the dinner menu while there- it seemed somewhat limited and pricy.
The location on the beach is outstanding for viewing the sunsets so our second visit was for dinner. Other than the coconut shrimp and the sunset - we found no reason to return to this restaurant again!

Longboards is the restaurant for the Marriott vacation club, so it has a large built-in crowd to draw upon.. For some reason, it is not open for breakfast or lunch. During the week we stayed at the property, we stopped by for drinks at happy hour once, had one meal here and stopped in for dessert one night. The restaurant is located right on the long beachwalk that runs down Kaanapali Beach.

Happy hour drinks were good and a good value. Dinner was decent, with the coconut shrimp being the most popular choice. Service was about average. The service we had for coffee/dessert was outstanding, perhaps because things had slowed down by then.

In summary, I don't put this high on my list of stops, but it is so convenient, I usually end up here at some point during my stay. With all that potential business and the support of the Marriott brand, they should be able to make this a much better restaurant.

The food was trendy, however the flavor of the flatbreads reminded of Lil' Caesar's fare. The server was comotose. The drink orders where completely messed up with our table receiving another tables drink.Their drinks did not even come close to what was ordered. The shrimp apps were tasty, the size of the shrimp was more Midwest than the Pacific. I doubt that I will revisit Longboards, at anytime on a return trip to Maui.
