This was a great full hour hula show at center stage with four keikis ranging from ages 5-10 along with their teacher, ukulele and slack key guitar player. The presentation is on Tues &Thursday evening from 7-8p.m. and I believe they have another one on Sat.- Sun 1-2p.m. The keikis did an excellent job with the dances and change of different outfits and accessories to combine with their show. It is nice to see how the younger keikis follow the guidance of the older ones to help them remember their steps as the music is fast paced and they need to keep up with the hula steps. A nice break to have the opportunity to enjoy the preservation of the Hawaiian/Polynesian culture. Gratuities accepted for the performances.
Go if you have a chance.

You will be able to get quite a bit of shopping done here. Lots of nice little shops and places to grab a quick bite to eat.

Some businesses seemed to close down, sorry to say. Miss the greek food and Pretzelmaker! And Gamestop. Glad that Bamboo Wind is still there! Wonderful coastal-themed items! Thank you for being air-conditioned! I know I mentioned that, previously! Starbucks workers were very nice; I know how busy it is!

This is a wonderful event, free, where everyone in a casual environment can watch local kids dance hula and share their talents. The charm is that the show is the young and the mature sharing the stage, teaching one another the art and performance and passing forward of their culture.

If you're looking for a good place to escape the heat and grab a quick bite or some coffee, this is a good spot. The shows they offer are cute and free, but I'm not a huge fan of them overall. I watched most of one for the novelty. They have a great little food court there, a grocery store, and shops where you can get sunscreen and cheap souvenir shirts if you're into that sort of thing. There is also a free shuttle to the upper scale Whaler's Village which I didn't use as I had a car.
