“Forgettable food and high prices!”
Reviewed January 23, 2013 via mobile

What a great setting! Overlooking the koi pond and an open wall that takes advantage of the great views and perfect weather. Kudos to the architects.

Our waitress was friendly and as accommodating as could be expected. The food on the other hand felt like a complete waste of a meal. Our bruschetta felt like it had been sitting in the fridge- the bread, mushrooms, and tomatoes were cold. The calamari was just okay. For entrees we picked off of each others plates. My broiled fish was pretty bland, the pork was good if you scrape off the Cabernet sauce, the prawns were tasty, but nothing special. We drank a bottle of Duckhorn which makes just about everything taste better. We were also disappointed with the tiramisu or more accuarately someone's take on tiramisu. The chocolate cake was good, but pretty basic. My son was even disappointed with the kids root beer float. You would expect a scoop of ice cream and root beer, but its actually a blended drink on ice-that's no fun for a kid.

Again, if youre planning on spending $250+ for dinner there are much better restaurants off property- don't waste it here.

“Great food, great service”
Reviewed January 21, 2013

This was one of the few restaurants that we went to twice during our visit to Maui. The food was really great, with the one exception being the pizza, which was just ok. Service was really great as well. They were very attentive to my mom's food allergy and where very accommodating when I didn't care for the sweet potato in my entree (turns out hawaii sweet potatoes do not taste at all like the ones i'm used to). Would definitely recommend the prawn risotto and the risotto-crusted pesce. Atmosphere was nice as well. One night they charged us a 'guest' surcharge of 4% (or was it 6? don't remember), as we weren't staying at the westin, and the other night they didn't. We didn't mind though as the food was delicious.

“Price worth it”
Reviewed January 21, 2013 via mobile

Extremely expensive but worth it and there are less expensive items if you wish. View is ok but you are only looking at a pool in a resort. Service was good.

“Beautiful setting.. Not great food”
Reviewed January 18, 2013 via mobile

The setting is gorgeous and very well done... Overlooking the koi proud at the Westin villas. It is supposed to be italian but they were playing some annoying techno music so that bugged me right away. We started with the calamari and I can honestly say it was the toughest most rubbery calamari we have ever had. We both struggled to eat it and could not finish it We had calamari a couple nights later at Fleetwoods and it was melt in your mouth.. I had pasta with a creamy sauce that was blah and not hot. My husband had a pizza which was on an extremely thin crust (basically a cracker). He liked it The wine list is very expensive and our red merlot was served totally chilled. It felt like this restaurant was trying to be something they are not....
