“Wonderful Museum”
Reviewed December 19, 2012

Be sure to watch the 1998 Thomas Edison Films in the old cook house next to the Museum. Admission to this museum includes admission to the Baldwin House Museum on the other end of town. Both worth your time. You should learn about Lahaina's history during your visit.

“Get to know Lahaina' s multicultural history”
Reviewed July 6, 2012

Lahaina itself is filled with cultural significance amidst the tourist traps that have been taking over this once quaint whaling town. Asian history comes alive in this temple(Not the restaurants that line up the streets) and are probably just an eyesore to mainlanders who overlook this amazing locale because if they wanted they can see "Chinatown" in their neck of the woods. The little theater next to it is nice and takes you back to a simpler place and time. It is where any race can come in and just look if you wanted but I guess the latest extreme sport or beer overtakes their interest these days. I support any historical landmark and who needs another coffee shop?Unless it is local it is not worth my dollar.

“Good Cultural Stop”
Reviewed October 6, 2009

This museum is a good stop for those who want to learn more about the cultural background of Lahaina. It only costs a few dollars and can be seen in about 15 minutes. There is an interesting temple upstairs and some amazingly large jade figures to be seen in the museum downstairs, plus many other small relics and photographs. History buffs, this is worth a stop.

“A nice stop in Lahaina”
Reviewed February 20, 2006

We have a daughter adopted from China and enjoy all chinese culteral activities. This was a quick stop on our walk though historic Lahaina. Very serene and well maintained. Lots of cool artifacts.
