We had a wonderful experience on the Hula Girl. This boat was brand new, fully equipped with full bar, exceptional meals, well trained and knowledgeable staff. We were able to stop and see whales, and dolphins even though this was a snorkeling tour. Overall our experience was amazing, we felt perfectly at home on this boat. This was by far the best part of our honeymoon!

Recently, my family and I took a mini vacation from Oahu to Maui and we went on the Hula Girl's late afternoon whale watching cruise. The entire experience was amazing; the staff was truly exceptional: after we boarded the boat from the sandy shore, one of the staff members came along with a warm bucket of water to rinse off our feet. The food was delicious, we only ate pupus: but others on the boat ordered the full dinner and they raved about it; especially the crab crusted salmon. The Captain did an excellent job finding the whales. The small number of guest and large boat, made it feel as if you had chartered the boat all to yourself. I would recommend Hula Girl to everyone that I know.

We booked a snorkel trip with the Hula Girl and we were so impressed with the beautiful boat that this is a "must do" while visiting Maui. The boat was beautiful from top to bottom. The head was even impressive! The food was not included in the price of the trip but we highly recommend experiencing the amazing, inexpensive meal that is prepared special order from the boat's on board chef. The food was delivered to our table on fine dinnerware. The captain was quick to point out that you were welcome to eat your own food if you had packed your lunch already. No pressure to purchase anything from the ship but I wouldn't miss the opportunity. We tried to book a second trip before we left for home but the boat was booked for the day. My husband and I were very disappointed! Great day with great people on a simply stunning vessel..........

We went on the Hula Girl last Friday (January 2010) and it was amazing. The boat is beautiful and the crew is friendly and courteous. We saw many whales and they took us to a bay in west Maui to snorkel. The snorkel equipment was in excellent condition. Scuba diving was also available -- down to 30 feet for 30 minutes.

After snorkeling, we hung out on the boat and drank the most affordable drinks available in Hawaii, including a bottle of acceptable quality wine for $25. We had an excellent lunch and after collecting everyone on the boat we sailed back to Lahaina. The crew used motors for part of the trip and the sails for the rest. The water was a beautiful blue and we got some great pictures of turtles and whales.

Our cruise only had 16 people, while the boat is rated for up to 49. I'm sure our experience would not have been as good with too many people, but I would recommend this cruise to anyone going to Lahaina. We even inquired about going again the next day, but they were not sailing on Saturday.

We took a sunset cruise on the Hula Girl last week, and it was one of the highlights of our Maui trip.

It started a little rough because we booked through our hotel, and weren't given clear directions where to pick up the boat. We wandered around the beach for a while, and finally a guide for one of the Teralani boats told us to hang around and the Hula Girl would show up. While we waited, we watched 2 Teralani boats board around 40 people each.

We found the Hula Girl's guide, and he got our little group of 14 people together, and we soon boarded the ship. It's very beautiful inside, spotless and elegantly appointed. After we set sail, we immediately ordered dinner because we were really hungry. The food far exceeded our expectations. They had a surprisingly large menu, and everything was prepared to order.

We saw whales all around us, and they were very active. In fact, this was a much bette whale watching cruise then the real whale watching cruise we took with Trilogy a couple days before. (Of course, I understand that's just luck!)

I can't recommend this trip enough. We spnt a lot of time chatting with Inke, one of the owners, and she couldn't have been nicer. It was worth every penny!
