“Fantastic ”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 9, 2014 via mobile

Going out on the whale watch with the kids was amazing. I had done this once on the east coast but this is a whole different level. The weather is beautiful and there are a lot of whales. And they are treated with respect with nobody getting too close. A must do activity.

“Perfection in Paradise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 30, 2014

Absolute best whale watching experience ever. We went in early April (after the peak season in Maui), but still experienced at least two dozen sightings. We would have been happy with one sighting (that's all we saw in Maine). It was so much fun, we went again four days later after Pacific Whale Foundation e-mailed us a discount offer for another trip. The second time, we didn't see as many whales, but we were a LOT closer (but they stay at least 100 yards away from the whales, per state law, if I remember correctly). We also got to see dolphins swimming right alongside the boat on that second trip. The staff dropped a microphone in the water so everyone could hear the whales communicating with their babies. I hope it wasn't a recording ;) Priceless memories, great photos, friendly boat staff. Perfection in paradise. Thank you PWF! We will be back!

“Whale watching”

Whale watching is a must when you visit Maui. It is just amazing to see so many whales surrounded you, January and February is probably the best time of year.

“incredible views”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 29, 2014

We went during peak time for whale watching on February 20th of this year. Seeing whales was a given (during Feb-Mar there are so many whales between Maui and Molakai you would have to be blind to miss them). This tour was fantastic for some of the added things done. We went out on one of their zodiac boats (inflatable sides). The "tour" is for two hours and has a naturalist on board. She did an incredible job of describing what was going on and giving us a very descriptive narrative of the behavior we were seeing. During the tour we saw well over 50 whales with fluke slapping and other incredible behavior. The tour on the zodiac is "GREAT" if you want to get up close. They have seating on bench (unpadded) seats, but we decided to sit on the inflatable sides. It is an incredible view when a whale goes under the boat. They also dropped a hydrophone over the side and we listened to whale songs

“Whale watch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2014

Went out in the morning for a whale watch. Very friendly personnel, which made the trip for us. Tried to get into the areas for the whales. Did see numerous whales and their young as well as slapping the water and breeches. Will try to Attend if we go back.
