“Great 1/2 Day to Lana'i”
Reviewed June 7, 2013

My family of four can't say enough good things about our snorkel trip to Lana'i with Pacific Whale Foundation aboard the Quest. Everyone from the captain to the crew was exceptional in pointing out dolphins, and various turtles and fish. It was past whale season in late May so we weren't expecting to see any and were not disappointed that we didn't.

Saw tons of Spinner dolphins and enough fish during our 90 minute snorkel to fill 100's of aquariums. The crew gives informational training on the way out to help you know what you will be seeing while snorkeling, and really interesting facts about the surrounding islands on the way back.

If Sergio is on your tour take some time to talk with him about his educational background and why he does this type of job. He is a very fascinating and engaging young man.

Take this trip, you won't be sorry.

“Take the trip around Lana'i”
Reviewed May 30, 2013

What a phenomenal day going around the whole island of Lana'i -we saw both bottle nose and spinner dolphins and stopped to snorkel three times. Snorkel spots were great. A light breakfast and filling lunch were served ( good thing since the tour lasts from 7:30-1:30). Both Sergio and Daymar were very helpful and knowledgeable. Our whole party would recommend the trip.

“Glad I went with PWF”
Reviewed May 23, 2013 via mobile

I chose Pacific Whale Foundation for our whalewatch tour because it was late in the season and they guaranteed a sighting. I was very happy with my choice. We booked the catamaran tour. Our guides were excellent, very knowledgeable and also funny. The boat was less than half full with I'm sure helped the experience. We encountered 3 whales and were able to watch them for around an hour. We even had the opportunity to listen to the whales with a special underwater microphone. The boat was equipped with a bar and restrooms. Water was provided. Overall great price, crew, and experience!

“Great Experience”
Reviewed May 23, 2013

This is so much more than a whale watching tour. The guide on the boat goes through everything telling you fun facts about the whales and the ocean in general. We learned a lot from this trip and got to see MULTIPLE whales up close. We were originally scheduled for the early bird trip (to save money) but got a call the night before that we had been moved to the 9:45 trip for free (which we were super thankful for). We saw whales and learned a lot. I also like that part of the money goes back to whale preservation, which is pretty good. They had snacks available for purchase on the trip. The whole thing was about 2 hours.

“Good experience overall, a few drawbacks...”
Reviewed May 11, 2013

My wife and I booked a trip with the Pacific Whale Foundation to head to Molokini and Turtle Town for snorkeling. We left early on a rainy day. The boat itself left a lot to be desired....after taking similar day trips in the Virgin Islands, we found this boat to be old, and not in very good shape. Breakfast and lunch were also very mediocre, but to be fair, the food was secondary. The snorkel spots were excellent and we enjoyed the crew who took time to explain a lot of the coral reefs and fish, and even personally pointed out sea life while in the water with us...which was great. And during the return trip they even found a bunch of sea turtles that we watched from the boat ( which was great because we unfortunately did not see any while snorkeling). Overall a good experience that I would recommend for the very reasonable price. Not the greatest boat or food, but a great group of people.
