My family spent 10 days on Maui and went to this shop almost every day. It seems silly to say, but something as simple as shave ice was oneof the highlights of our trip - thanks to the owner of Ululani's, David, who possesses the true Aloha spirit (which can be hard to find in a tourist town like Lahaina). It is clear once you meet him that David is one of those people with a passion for what he does, and he seems to genuinely care about his customers as much as his product. He makes nearly all of his flavors from scratch and has many local flavors that I had never heard of (Prune Mui was awesome).

I sought his shop out based on the great reviews on this site and the tremendous support Ululani's has garnered is very much deserved. David treats all of his customers like real people, and has a warm heart. He remembers your name, and takes a genuine interest in making sure that you feel welcome. His customers seem to be an even mix of locals and tourists alike, and he treats everyone like a friend. Equally important, however, is the product and his shave ice is on par with his customer service - simply unparallelled.

My family was craving for a shaved ice and we happen to pass Ululani's, so we figured we give it a try...The owner was extremely courteous and welcoming..offered suggestions, which we tried..we ordered three different ones and they were all incredible...refreshing and decandent...Haleakala was our favorite...that we went back to experience this fantastic treat again...too bad we didn't discover this treasure at the beginning of our trip...If you are going to Maui you have to stop here you will be pleased that you did ...you will be craving more,as we are...

I was there with some friends walking down front street. David approached us and asked us if we have tried his shaved ice. He gave us some free cups and we were there everyday. The people at that stand are genuine and friendly, plus the shaved ice was too die for. I'm from Alaska and could use some shaved ice right now in the middle of the winter

We just returned from our trip to Maui and found Ululani's Hawaiian Shave Ice and what a discovery! We loved the finely shaved ice and the flavors, especially Sunset Beach with ice cream at the bottom and a coffee, chocolate and leche combination that was excellent! Also, the service can't be beat! David, the owner, is a joy. He is friendly and makes you feel at home. We visited his shave ice place 4 times and can't wait to go back again! Thanks David for bringing such delicious shave ice to Lahaina!

Ululani's is WITHOUT question, the best Hawaiian Shave Ice on the planet. As good as Matsumoto's is, Ululani's beats them hands down. The owners are some of the nicest people you'll meet. They definitely take pride in their shave ice and service.

We visited Ululani's over 10 times during our 2 week vacation, and was fortunate to try most of their flavors. Their syrups (made by them), are the best tasting syrups around.

If you're heading to Maui, don't miss Ululani's. You will NOT be disappointed. Now, only 1 more year before we head back to Maui for some more Ululani's...
