We absolutely loved our stay at Kahana Village. The property is beautiful, well maintained and set right on a quiet, private beach with great views of the ocean. Kahana Village is in a great location very close to a lot of shops, restaurants and beaches. Roughly a 10-15 minute drive to downtown Lahaina. It is also within a 5-10 minute distance of a lot of beautiful and popular beaches/snorkel spots like Kapalua Beach and Honolua Bay. If you are looking for sea turtles, you will not need to venture far, as we saw a turtle on the beach during our first day here! However, it is important to note that there are LOTS of sea urchins in the reef outside, so watch your feet!

Overall, the room was very quiet and clean, with a lot of amenities. They provide you with cooking supplies, boogie boards, snorkel masks, fins and beach chairs - which really came in handy! The rooms also come equipped with air conditioning, and there is a walk out balcony which gives you a great view of the ocean. Would definitely recommend this cozy spot - I can't wait to come back!

Kahana Village is in a great location with easy access to shopping and restaurants. It is one of the few complexes in Kahana that actually have a real beach. The grounds are maintained meticulously. The staff is awesome....none can compare! All units have an ocean view....and yes whales can be seen! When we were there this past April, there was a turtle on the beach as well as a sea lion.

Our 10th year and probably 13th visit to Kahana Village. This is the only place we stay on Maui. We've thought about others but keep winding up calling Vicki and making reservations at that little place on earth we love to call home.
We've stayed in a number of different units there. All but one was a two bedroom. This stay was in unit 8. An updated unit with a great view of the ocean and Molokai. It looks directly out at the pool on property. It's stocked really well and suited our needs perfectly. Perfect? No. Is the Ritz? No. :)
What's to love best about Kahana Village is the intimacy of the complex and the management team, it's location away from Kaanapali and all it's craziness as that atmosphere just isn't what we like on a two week vacation and how easy it is to get to town or head up to Kapalua for some really good food. These are just a few reasons. There are tons of them.
We can't wait to go back.... again!

Room tip: Ocean Front Prime!

This was our first trip to Maui and we wanted to find that special condo close to everything yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle. I somehow found Kahana Village through TA and it did not disappoint!

From check in (we felt special having our name up on the “welcome” board) to the Mai Tai party the staff puts on each Wednesday (Andrew the ukulele player/singer is a hoot!), this gem of a resort has lots of accommodation options for couples and large families. I found out from other guests at the pool that this property is one they return to year after year. The grounds are immaculate!

We stayed in unit 9 on our visit, a nice 1 bedroom with a loft for additional sleeping accommodations. The bathrooms and kitchen are all updated with modern amenities and the kitchen was stocked almost as good as my own at home (they didn’t have a pancake griddle so we improvised). During our stay the weather wasn’t super hot so we only had the opportunity to use the air-conditioning a couple of times, but it definitely did the trick. The nights were perfect with the ceiling fans throughout. The lanai is definitely big enough for a family of four to enjoy a meal or just to relax. The King size bed was extra comfy! This is usually not the case anywhere else I’ve stayed. Since it was just the two of us, we didn’t get the chance to try the beds upstairs in the loft.

I had been told there was no longer much of a beach here because of erosion, but it was perfect for us. Not too far to walk and we saw people with their lawn chairs set up to watch the sun set. It was fun to watch the tide come in and out & the sun sets just to the left of Moloka'i. The beach isn’t too rocky except in a few spots, so just bring your water shoes if you want to get in. We saw people windsurfing fishing, surfing, boogie boarding and snorkeling right off our beach.

Mike & Vicki (who are the resident managers) were very accommodating hosts. We just loved this little property and hope to return again soon someday!
