Wonderful ride for our family of 3. Great horses and gear, super guide (ask for Katlin!) - she gave good instructions in a casual friendly way, was a great tour guide showing us the islands from the high view point and telling us about the plants and trees and history of the region. We got to taste a coffee bean, smell a cinnamon leaf and lemon pepper leaf, see wild passion fruit and pineapple. Plenty of shade - probably the only horseback ride on Maui that offers significant shade relief from the sun. You get a cool soda pop or fruit juice (guava, passion fruit, etc.!) after the ride and can stroll around their orchard or go visit the other horses. Really top notch. Walking only as the terrain can be rough and the horses work hard every day with all the riders. Their website, www.ironwoodranch.com, needs to be updated because they no longer offer exclusive excursions or advanced rides.
