This little museum is worth the visit. It's small enough that it will only take you an hour or so (if you read every word), or half an hour if you skim and skip things. The price is reasonable and the information and artifacts are great. I read every word and thought it was great...husband got bored after first third of it. Lol.

Whalers Village is just next to the Westin where we stayed. Easy to get to from beach walk, a few restaurants, local entertainer at night, next to beach and lots of shopping. Not to miss if close by.

it's something you can do at night - open quite late - on the Ka'anapoli waterfront. I walked home quite safely at 9pm to the Maui Eldorado. They had 2 kinds of live entertainment starting around 7pm.

Hi end stores with the latest and greatest. From Rolex, Louis Vuitton, Coach and tons of clothing stores, but don't expect any outlet type stores or discounts. Unless you make a purchase (minimum $15.00) for validated parking (free 3 hours) it can cost you the daily rate of $40.00 just to park. Pleasant walk along the beach from numerous hotels and public transit to the door. Fun place to spend an afternoon to see the latest in fashion. They also had a free show in the evening with Hula dancers that we came back for. It's a fun place and we loved it.

I went here to show the wife what it was like since I had been previously many years ago and she hadn't been. It was so different than what I remember. Everything seems brand new and busy. Met three really nice shop attendants while there. One, Liz at a tshirt shop, remembered the old Whaler's Village. Had a fun time walking around. Would recommend those who haven't been to check it out.
