It's hard to add to the other glowing comments, but this is one great adventure. Captain Ryan is a special guy - he starts the trip off by ripping across the water to Lanai at speeds around 40 to 45 miles per hour. However, his skill at handling the boat is superb. It is huge fun with no sense of fear because of Ryan's skill. Around Lanai Capt. Ryan tells interesting stories of the island history and also describes how and what to look for on the snorkeling sessions - we had 3 sessions at various locations around the island. Being there in June, there weren't any whales to see; however, we did get to play with a school of Dolphins. There were probably 50 to 100 and we floated with them for a long time - just amazing! This trip is only for small groups - 18 people max. - so it is very friendly and comfortable. Good snacks and a lunch are provided since it is a long adventure, ours was more than 6 hours. One of the best things is that Capt. Ryan and his mate are excellent with kids. We had our 4 and 6 year old granddaughters and Ryan took special care to make certain that they weren't frightened during the high speed parts of the trip. He helped them with their snorkel gear and even took them into the water to ride on his back. Super Adventure, Super People, Super Fun!

This Ultimate Snorkeling adventure was voted the highlight of our trip to Hawaii by our whole family. I'm a Great Grandma, and I loved it, because it was not staid like others we have taken family members on in Hawaii. Others were on big boats where we joined other big boats and snorkeled with hundreds of other vacationers. On this tour, the adventuresome captain and his very knowledgeable first mate took us to very private places on Lanai where we were snorkeling with only 18 people in sight. We got to see caves, blow holes, arches, green turtles, octopi, and more sea life than I've ever seen on other tours. We will definitely come back for more!

Don't be fooled by the others...Ultimate Whale Watch is THE best choice for getting out on the water for whale watching. The boat is small (and fast!) so you are not fighting the crowds and stumbling over others to see the whales. We have been going to Maui over Spring Break for the past five years. We ALWAYS choose this company and we are never disappointed. We don't even consider the other companies and we will keep coming back!

Looking for adventure a group of us family members decided to try the "Ultimate Snorkel" located in Lahaina, Maui. We decided on the half day adventure which included fresh fruit and pastries in the morning and cold sandwiches and non alcoholic beverages at noon. The cost was around $125.00 per person. We arrived on a weekday morning at 7:30 am as directed. Trying to find parking in the general area without time limits was very difficult. Although expensive it was easier to pay for parking rather than pay a very expensive parking ticket. There were plenty of "pay" parking lots in the area. At 8:00 am we boarded an impressive high performance boat that had two 225 hp outboard engines to propel it. The outward appearance is a "raft". Although there were only 11 passengers and two crew members the boat could easily accommodate more than 20 persons. A nice canopy covered most of the interior if passengers didn't want to sit in the sun. Unfortunately, there was no bathroom aboard. By the end of the trip I am sure the sea level rose. The trip to the island of Lanai was quick and enjoyable. The speed of the boat allowed us to snorkel at three different areas surrounding the island for extended periods of time. Our Captain was very friendly and accommodating answering a barrage of questions and island history throughout our trip. The waters were full of beautiful fish and colorful coral. We did not see any turtles but did come upon a pod of spinner dolphins estimated to be about 300 that surrounded our boat while putting on quite a show for at least a half hour. By the time it was time to return to Lahaina the wind picked up in the early afternoon and the waves grew in size. The boat seemed to sail across the top of the waves on the way back unbothered by the rough water. I told my wife that I want one these boats when we return to the mainland. She said "we will talk about it later" so I guess I have a chance. All in all it was a terrific experience that I would do again.

You can go on a snorkel cruise or you can experience a snorkel adventure. Ultimate snorkel provided fun, entertainment, excitement and education for my entire family. Their small group philosophy personalized the experience, you felt like you we're with a group of friends. In fact captain Ryan and Peter stopped the raft to allow my daughter to experience the chance to swim with dolphins as a birthday present! Next time we are in Maui we will do it again!
