Owner description: The BEST small group ocean rafting tours since 1982, Ultimate Whale Watch & Snorkel invites you to snorkel Lanai with us, as well as share photographic, non-threatening close-encounters with Dolphins, Whales and Turtles! Our rafting vessels host less than 26 guests per trip, creating a fun and uncrowded experience with Maui's marine life! We offer two different Lanai snorkeling tours, 4.5 and 6.5 hours on the water! Our snorkeling tours include snacks and meals, gear and multiple snorkel stops where you will be able to spot a variety of marine life along with our most beloved ocean friends, the dolphins! From December through May, Humpback Whale encounters are guaranteed and the crystalline offshore waters frequently provide a passing subsurface eye-to-eye view as we host tours, photography session and research groups. Make a difference and experience one of the last remaining great migrations of the Animal Kingdom. Your ticket supports freeing of entangle whales, whale research and education on Maui! See you out on the water!

We had a great trip on Ultimate Whale Watch. We had been out on Trilogy for two previous whale watches (they were great too) and wanted to try on in the zodiac boats (we found whale watching to be addictive!). WOW! We had such a great afternoon. We were able to put our underwater camera in the water and take spectacular footage of a mom and baby swimming toward our boat (including audio of whales singing). We watched the mom teaching her baby to breach--amazing!

Tried "the other guys" first ($10 cheaper). Big mistake. Went out on Ultimate three times in a week. They are just better people - the crew makes the trip and these guys are the best.

We had a wonderful trip with the Crew from Ultimate Whale Watch. The Captain "Ryan" was extremely knowledgable and funny. We saw 3 whale breach the water and splash back down. We also saw several dolphins and a sea turtle on our way out.

Going with a smaller group is definetely worth the money!! Thanks again!!

Eric was a wonderful captain and Lindsay was a very knowledgeable naturalist. With only 18 people on the boat, we were able to follow the whale we wanted to see. I wanted to go back later in the day for a second trip but they were booked, Will go back next year and only cruise with them!

We went on this trip a few days ago.
We did see some whales breaching, but I guess I expected it to be better. We were in Alaska last June and the whales were much more impressive. I understand it's "hit and miss" as far as whales are concerned, and you can't predict when they'll put on a show.
The narrative was OK, but again I expect more considering the previous reviews.
Some bottled water would have been nice, considering the cost of the trip. Our Alaska trip cost less, had fewer people and included several kinds of beverages and food. It was also a longer trip.
