Stayed for a week. The pics you see at the website are what you see when you are there (you won't think the pix made it look better than what it is). Grounds are perfectly manicured. Units are clean and updated. Beds and pillows are great (way better than the Hyatt where we stayed for 3 days after the Mauian).
This is a five star place if only they had a hot tub. For the life of me I can't figure out why they don't have one as they have the space for it. Such a relatively small thing addition could make a big difference.
Also, we stayed in an upper unit for the first night and then requested moving to lower unit for the remainder of stay. We are a family of 4 (8 and 10 year old) and so guessed we would like the lower unit better and we did. I'm not sure why most contributors here say that the upper unit is the way to go. I didn't find that to be the case and wouldn't have even without kids. It's nice not having to walk up and downstairs every time you want to come int and out of your place. We're active: going from beach, to playing ball on grass, back to unit for food or sunglasses whatever, then to pool, back to unit for something, etc. you get the idea. If you're upstairs, it just takes much longer to get in and out of your unit. The couple above us seemed to only play board games all day on their balcony so for them it was fine and another couple across from us seemed to be on their laptops all day (odd) so for them it would be fine but for most people, me thinks lower unit is better.
lots of kids under 5 years old while we were there (in case you don't like kids). When summer starts, I'm guessing there will be many older kids.
Gazeebo restaurant (south end of Napili bay) over rated IMO...especially when you may be waiting an hour to be seated. Sea House is good. The cove just north of Kapolua Bay is the best for snorkeling and nobody will be there unless one of the snorkel\scuba boats are there. That's where those boats go in the afternoon and most go to Molokini in the morning.
