This was my fourth visit to the Old Lahaina Luau and it continues to provide top notch entertainment and food. The emphasis is on traditional Hawaiian luau so it does not have songs or dances from other Polynesian cultures. Before each show they have a small display of true local Hawaiian arts and crafts by the waterside. The food is traditional Hawaiian roast pork and sweet potatoes and poi but they have added some non traditional food (steak and salmon) for a more general palate. The main attraction is the dancing and chanting in a variety of Hawaiian styles. They are haunting in their beauty. They offer chair seating for traditional seating on a pillow on the ground. I always opt for the traditional seating which is closer to the dancers, but can be a bit uncomfortable until you find the right position for your legs.
