“Kaliealoha #207 is AMAZING!”
Reviewed December 21, 2012

We recently returned from a one week stay at Kaleialoha in unit 207. We'd researched numerous lodging options for this trip, and I don't think we could have done better! We found the unit to be perfect in every way: high end appliances, laundry facilities, full kitchen, extremely comfortable bed, and the BEST view we've ever had on vacation. Each morning, we enjoyed coffee and breakfast on the lanai and saw turtles nearly every day. Sunsets are amazing, and rainbows are a regular occurrence. Yes, the pool was cold, and no, there wasn't any beach directly at this property, but we knew these "issues" prior to booking. Being within a few minutes of Kaanapali Beach and an awesome, and not well known, beach at Kapalua provided excellent alternatives. We were sad to leave after only a week and already dream about a return trip. I plan to stay in this very unit again and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a laid back, well appointed unit with comforts beyond most of those at home.

We stayed in Condo #413 on the 4th floor. As other people here have stated, a great view of the ocean, turtles swimming past, sunsets, the 2 islands of Lanai and Molokai in the distance.
The condo is spacious, clean and well furnished. The location is good, with a farmers market and a coffee shop 5 minutes down the road. We went out to Whalers Village for dinner a few times, its only a 5 minute drive towards Lahaina. We will stay here again on our next visit to Maui.

Really a nice location! Close to walking paths, grocery store. beaches, deli, taco shop, farmers market and a great walk to Whalers Village where you will find lots of shops and more great restaurants! This property is well maintained and very clean.
We stayed in 412 and this condo was exceptional! Well stocked with everything you would need...boogie boards, noodles, snorkeling gear, washer dryer, a really comfy king bed with wonderful pillows, a well stocked kitchen and absolutely stunning views of the ocean, sunsets, sea turtles, boaters and the beautiful islands of Lanaii and Molakai! We Loved this Unit! You can find this one through alohacondos.com!

After a 4 week trip to Canada and Alaska we wanted a relaxing week before we headed back to Australia and Maui was the perfect place. We didn't arrive until nearly midnight and when we walked into the unit the lights were on, the TV on and the balcony doors open so we could hear the surf. It was such a lovely welcome, like coming home. There was a also a 'welcome' fruit plate consisting of fresh pineapple, bananas and macadamia nuts. We couldn't wait to get up the next morning to see the view from our balcony. It was spectacular.

We stayed in unit 312 and it was pretty much faultless. The kitchen had everything that opened and shut as well as some condiments in the fridge and spices, oils, etc. for cooking. There was a good supply of dishes and every type of glass you would need, martini, wine, champagne, highball, etc. The internal washer and dryer was a welcomed surprise. The bedroom had a flatscreen TV but we didn't use it at all. Who watches TV when there's a beautiful ocean to gaze at? We loved sitting on the high lanai setting watching the turtles every morning and then BBQing our dinner and meeting some of the other guests around the BBQ while watching the sunset. The unit had a big telescope but we couldn't figure out how to use it and didn't see any instructions. There was also a/c but there was no need to use it with the cross breeze through the unit.

The grounds are kept immaculate. The fellow (can't remember his name) cleans and hoses down the lounge chairs along the ocean wall every morning and the grass is beautifully manicured.

There is a farmers market just up the road but we didn't manage to get there in time to buy from the growers and made the mistake of going into the little shop. The prices were pretty steep but everything seemed to be organic. We found the best place to get your groceries was at The Times shop about 5 minutes up the road, just a little further than the farmers market.

We will definitely stay here again, in fact we're already planning a family reunion to meet at Kaleialoha next year. Mahalo

Room Tip: You have a great view of the turtles from the higher floors but I think it would be just as nice on...

We stayed in Condo #105. We really enjoyed the views of Moloka'i and Lana'i, the ocean. The resort was well taken care of. Everyday someone was cleaning off the patio area/chairs. The condo itself was clean and had a king size bed. Plus there was everything we needed to cook, barbeque and anything else we could think of. Lots of places all around to go eat, other delightful beaches and a wonderful area to walk and enjoy the scenery. This condo did not have air conditioning. We were gone all day so only maybe needed it if we had it for one hour while showering. Otherwise the open air was more than adequate.

The Kaleialoha is a perfect choice for a Maui vacation. We stayed 9 nights in September in Unit 207. This is a 1 bedroom, ocean front, with full kitchen, living room, 1 bath, and lanai on 2nd floor. Unit is directly on the ocean with complete views Moloka'i and Lana'i.

This property provides a great value. This condo is a small 4 story building located between the masterplanned resort areas of Kaanapalli and Kapalua in a cute area called Honokowai. Walking distance to a few shops and eateries, a beach park, and a wonderful farmers market.

Having your own full living area with full kitchen and perfect view for less than half the price of a resort is a great experience. Unfortunately, there is not a nice beach in front, but rather a rock wall, and stairs down to a small sandy area for water entry. You also give up the opulence and amenities of a full scale resort. But you gain an intimate, quiet property with full kitchen and tons of space for a much better price! The views are phenomenal, we ate almost 2 meals a day on our lanai over looking the other islands. Several sea turtles were also a joy to watch each day right off the rock wall! You can swim, surf, and snorkel right out back. Less than a 10 minute drive to 4 great beaches (Kaanapalli and Kaanapalli north, Napili, and Kapalua Bay), all highly recommended.

This is probably the most upscale unit on property, very recently renovated and very upscale. However, some of their appliances are a bit too fancy and not as functional. The dishwasher is small, and the high efficiency appliances don't seem to work as well. The 2nd floor is nice, but we also stayed on the 4th floor, which was quieter and provided a better view. I would still in 207 again, very highly recommended.

Condo was fully stocked with everything you would need, beach chairs, towels, boogy boards, cards, a few CDs, all the cookware you'll need.

Would also highly recommend golf at Kapalua, the road to Hana for a day trip, Roy's for dinner, walking the "strand" at Kaanapali, walking Lahaina town, and visiting Haleakala. Haleakala sunrise was no better than sunset in my opinion, and sunset is much less crowded and you don't have to leave at 3:30 AM.

Overall a phenomenal stay and we will be back!

Room Tip: Higher floor has a better view, 207 is the nicest unit.

First impressions are everything... And sorry, but the blatant rudeness and unprofessionalism of the hotel staff is a huge indicator as to what you'll deal with once you arrive. So with that said, called the hotel for rates and reservations. Was greeted by a woman who seemed very rushed when she answered the phone. She explained that she was in training and had to keep placing me on hold to answer each question ((had 3 basic questions: 1) do you have availability, 2) how much, and 3) what kind of room)). After the 3rd question, and being placed on hold several times for EACH question, another woman picks up - the most nasty woman I have ever dealt with at a hotel!! Looked to stay there for 2 weeks. If thats any indicator of the staff quality, no thanks.
