We entered Without Really any knowledge of what goes on or how things are done here at the Lavender Farm. I had such difficulty moving about it is steep incline walking. If you have trouble walking in general or you can't run or not physically capable of having any stamina I would forgo this. I could not enjoy the grounds whatsoever. $3 per person I'd rather go to the gym.

Aloha,

As advertised on our website under frequently asked questions:

Our lavender farm is not certified wheelchair or handicapped accessible, but we do make our best efforts to be accommodating.
In order to experience our farm in comfort we do offer a Guided Cart Tour with reservations.

Our farm is located on a hillside, so as such our gardens are terraced into three main levels. We are located at 4000 feet elevation.
The parking lot resides on hillside, with handicapped stalls near the bottom. One may also advise our Admission Gate personnel that you will wish to drop someone off in the front of the Gift Shop, and then return to park in the parking lot.

Customer service is available from 9am-4pm HST, to answer any questions regarding the farm.

We appreciate your review.
Thanks for visiting.
Mahalo

The tour and views from the farm are fantastic. Our Guide, Zach, was pleasant and very knowledgeable. Definitely interesting to learn about lavender. I would recommend avoiding the so-called gourmet lunch, especially the chicken club. Dry bread, dry chicken think of the turkey dinner scene from National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. Definitely not worth the price even considering Maui standards.

We booked on-line and the process was easy, we even got a senior's discount of a dollar each when we arrived. We took the golf cart tour and we are glad we did as the property is situated on the side of Mount Haleakala and is quite steep. Definitely take a light jacket and wear good shoes for walking. You can wander on your own but the guided tours are great if you want to learn. Our guide Zach was awesome, so knowledgeable about all the plant species and lots of interesting info on not just the lavender but also all the other plants on the site. He is one of the gardeners and has been working for a year after he arrived from Southern California. The gift shop is well stocked with everything lavender and the prices are not outrageous. Have a scone and some lavender tea and enjoy the awesome views of the central Maui valley as well as both coasts. A great way to spend a few hours.

Just a couple dollars gets you in to the lavender farm. It is a nice walk around the plants and there is a little gift shop and coffee. But the view is why you are really here. Fantastic!!
