“Free small market and garden”
Reviewed November 4, 2011

We are a bit obsessed with Protea and went to many gardens to see them- this one was small but free and had a nice little market attached to it- also some picnic tables if you want to stop for a whaile or eat on the treats you bought- they have food items as well as gifts and of course- Proteas!

“Very unusual flowers”
Reviewed June 16, 2011

Free to wander around and enjoy the flowers. We did not see as many because it was not the right time of year. Friendly owner..nice store..bought an angel made from a dried protea for my Christmas tree.

“If you like flowers, you'll LOVE this FREE attraction !!!”
Reviewed January 7, 2009

What a wonderful place to visit. A general store and a floral boutique, but so much more. You can see all types of Protea growing on the property, and wander the fields at will to see all stages of growth. The NICEST people run the place, and there is no charge to visit and see everything, unlike so many similar places on Maui. We took a catalog with us, and next time we have to send flowers (they ship fresh arrangements to the mainland), it's Sunrise Protea Farm to be sure. If you're going to the top of Haleakala (and you MUST if you're visiting Maui) be sure to stop here on your way down. Fun, beauty, education, hospitality...all FREE. Try beating that on Maui. We can't wait to go back!!! Thank you to the staff at Sunrise Protea Farm for a lovely visit. We're PROUD to be your first TripAdvisor review.
