Description: When you come on up to visit us at Ulupalakua, you'll find it's not just about the drive. These days, it's about the food. "We're becoming a food destination," says Will Munder, Executive Chef of Ulupalakua Ranch Store & Grill. Mosey up to the counter, and you'll still find all the classic Ranch favorites, but the good stuff just got better. Now everything is made from scratch and as local as we can get it. The Ulupalakua lamb, beef and famous elk are part of our commitment to serve only meat from the Ranch or from Maui. And thanks to Upcountry's abundance. The bustling Grill gets crates of fresh local lettuce, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, pineapple, herbs and more, every morning. Reminders of times gone by are everywhere inside the Ulupalakua Store, from the sepia-toned photos on the walls to the cowboy hats on the shelves. The Store is a happy place of simple things, good things. Our motto here at Ulupalakua Ranch is: "Happy People." Plain and simple.

“Just as good the second time through”
Reviewed February 21, 2013

On my second trip to Ulupalakua, visiting the winery, I again visited the Ranch Store. Always fun, I find so many things to take home that I am overweight on my baggage. The staff are great at helping with selections and getting me to try new things, such as the coconut peanut butter with only those two ingredients. I have a little bit of Maui at home in Michigan with my english muffin and coconut peanut butter! I did not eat here but only shopped.

“A nice place to stop and visit”
Reviewed February 20, 2013

We stopped by this place while touring around. A very interesting country store with some neat items to browse at. They have a little eatery at the back that served a great bowl of soup. (that's all we had so we can't comment on anything else). We were able to buy some treats to munch on for the road which was great. They also serve up a good cup of coffee. Nice place for a break.

“OK Food”
Reviewed January 28, 2013

We stopped at the winery across the street and stopped over for lunch. Basically it's a guy with a grill on the porch. The food was decent, nothing great. Would probably stop there again if I went to the winery.

“Enjoyed a tasty hamburger at the Ulupalakua grill”
Reviewed January 26, 2013

We were pleasantly surprised to find this country store and grill after leaving the lavender farm. They only have picnic bench seating outside so if the weather is bad you'll have to order take out. Charming little country store to browse. We ordered the hamburgers and they were quite tasty. Soda came in a can and chips in a bag. Basic but it hit the spot on our long drive through upcountry.
