Had the fresh ono 'n'chips (or wahoo for eastcoasters)- LOVED IT. Had the mahi too, but ono took 1st place. The $7 fish'n'chips special is old catch, the fresh fish was hard to beat. Yeah service was not overly friendly, kind of tolerating at best, but no big deal. I would definitely go back for the grub.

We went the day before and saw a line up for this place so we figured it was excellent. Well we tried it the night after and the marketing genius for this place must be paid more than he or she is worth. The food was regular the service sucked and the price was high. Jack in the box fish place not recomended.

We ordered 2 captains platters- fried- fish (too small & too much batter), calamari (too rubbery & too much breadcrumb), fried oysters, (small oysters, too much breadcrumb) & friend scallops-( just balls of fried stuff); fish tacos- ok, lots of lettuce, fish small; coconut shrimp- a little overcooked & small- Sea House had bigger, better shrimp and only $5 for 2 with a small fruit salad and cole slaw. And even Aloha Mix Plate has better coconut shrimp but the best coconut shrimp in on Kauai at the Shrimp Station.

The service was friendly and the prices were reasonable but the food was just too much fried batter stuff and not enough seafood. It was a disappointment. The ahi poke looked good but did not try it.

This place is located in an industrial area of Kihie with very little curb appeal but they carry fresh fish and also offer a lunch menu that is excellent. I have had coconut shrimp in the finest restaurants throughout Hawaii and Eskimo Candy serves up the best, by far!

We randomly found this with Google search, it appears to be a hidden gem of a local fish market. We got delicious Ono and other fish to bring back and grill at our condo. They also serve food like a restaurant, the prices were reasonable and the food looked good. We liked it so much we went back but it was closed, be sure to call to find out the hours, it seemed a bit random. Delicious fish at great value.
