Not a fancy place at all. Really a fresh fish market with a pretty good selection of prepared dishes. Seating was pretty limited - a couple of tables inside, some counter seating, and a couple of tables outside. Takeout is available, as well.

We were really hungry for some good seafood and found this place listed in a "Menu" magazine. I had a seafood platter which was delicious and my husband had the daily special - panko-crusted ono. Both meals were outstanding.

While we were there several locals came in to buy fresh fish. Some were advised which day to come back for a particular kind of fish.

Next visit to Maui we will come to Eskimo Candy earlier in our stay so we can eat there a couple of times.

$$$$ but well worth it! We bought 2 lbs of ahi and brought it back to our condo to grill later that afternoon. Fed 6 adults and we had extra fish to spare! If you consider the cost of renting a charter where one tips the crew but doesn't get to keep the fish, then this was a bargain. Just be sure to get there early b4 they sell out.

We went to Eskimo Candy on the recommendation of a Kihei resident. We went for a late lunch, but it was still very busy! We enjoyed the lunch plate special for $9.99, which consisted of coconut shrimp, ribs, and a macaroni/potato salad. The food was delicious and very filling. All of the tables were full, so we initially had to eat standing up. A short time later though, a table opened up which we shared with another family looking to sit down as well!! The restaurant seemed to be busy with both local residents and tourists. When we visited, they were open Monday-Friday only (closed on the weekends). I would highly recommend Eskimo Candy!!

Very casual, they could use a better location, but the food is excellent! We enjoyed the fish tacos and the fish and chips. Very fresh, well prepared and generous portions.
