My wife & I stayed at Eva Villa in June. Due to availability we split our trip between 2 different accommodations with Eva Villa coming second. Our first B&B was decent, but felt like we were sleeping in a friend's basement. Once we moved to Eva Villa it felt like we were really on vacation.

The Poolside Studio was spacious and clean. Having access to the private pool and grill let us take it easy for a couple of nights while taking a break from the crowds in town. Location was a short drive to the main stretch in Kihei. Rick's knowledge and hospitality was a great bonus. Will definitely try to stay here again if we go back to Maui.

We recommend Eva Villa! We've been to Maui in the past and always stayed in the Ka'anapali Beach/Lahaina area; this time, we stayed at Eva Villa in Wailea/Kihei, and will definitely stay again on our next Maui trip. This was a much more personal experience than being part of a herd vying for limited resources at an expensive resort.
We stayed in the poolside suite and really enjoyed our stay! Rick and Dale made us feel very welcome and they were very helpful in every possible way. When we arrived, Rick went out of his way to give us plenty of information and recommendations on the area: where to eat, what to do, and the best beaches in Wailea/Kihei; in fact, he even gave us his mobile number in case we needed anything during our stay--who else does that? Overall, the B&B is very nice and offered a significantly more private holiday than we've experienced at a resort property. The grounds are beautiful, the neighborhood quiet and safe, and there is plenty of beach equipment for each guest (umbrellas, chairs, mats, towels, coolers, etc.). We usually had the pool and jacuzzi to ourselves. The suite provided us privacy, is roomy and very comfortable, and had everything we needed in the kitchen. Rick and Dale kept the refrigerator stocked with an ample continental breakfast (bagels, spreads, granola bars, fresh fruit including pineapple, ground coffee for the coffeemaker). Eva Villa is easy to find, and is a very short and easy to drive to the beaches, golf, Molokini snorkeling boat departure, and many places to eat and shop.
Hint: There is free parking, outdoor showers, and lavatory at a public beach access point between Grand Wailea and the Four Seasons.

Made decision to stay at Eva Villa rather than at hotels along Wailea Beach as in past. No regrets. Friendly and helpful host. Quiet. Clean. Nice pool and hot tub. Plenty of towels for family of 4. Good breakfast food. BBQd steaks on outdoor grille. Easy beach access with car....always plenty of parking. Comfortable sleeping as guaranteed even without AC. Last time stayed in hotel at 3 times the cost....used savings to hike Hana, snorkel, golf and eat at ALL the restaurants advised by Rick at our reception on arrival. Great place for family ... even got to watch British Open live at 4 am in living room while others slept !! Missed the place when we left. 5 Dot rating !!!

My girlfriend and I had the pleasure of staying at Rick and Dale's B&B during our recent trip to Maui. We spent the first half of our vacation at one of the big resorts on the northwest coast and this was a wonderful change of pace. Its beautiful and secluded and incredibly quiet. We had fresh fruit provided daily and essentially had the pool and hot tub to ourselves. Nothing quite like spending a busy day out and about and then being able to come back to a nice glass of wine and a relaxing swim.

There are boogie boards, coolers, snorkeling gear (Though if you're a hardcore snorkeler you'll want to bring your own) and beach umbrellas available to each suite free of charge that we got a lot of use out of...especially the beach umbrella (Watch out for that Maui Sun).

Rick and Dale were always friendly and tried to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Highly recommended.

We spent 6 nights staying in the cottage and we loved every minute! It was quiet and peaceful and the cottage is set in a beautiful garden, with every amenity you might need - even a hairdryer! Rick and Dale are wonderful hosts and made us feel right at home. They were unobtrusive yet on hand if we needed anything. Monkey Boy the cat hung around outside and was always up for a cuddle. We just didn't want to leave this place - we are already planning our next trip to Maui and we would not go anywhere else but Eva Villa. Mahalo Rick and Dale, for helping to make our trip so enjoyable!

Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! The only way to describe the experience we had at Rick and Dale’s Eva Villa BnB! We stayed in the private cottage from Apri 23rd to May 2nd, a total 9 nights and loved every moment! We were in Maui for our wedding and then honeymoon and Rick & Dale made sure that we enjoyed our entire stay! First let me say, we are in our mid to late twenties' and this is wonderful place is for all ages, especially if you are looking for a more romantic/private feel away from the touristy resort area (though Eva Villa is only 5 mins. from some of Maui's best beaches). Eva Villa was our tropical oasis!

When we first arrived we were greeted with Rick's warm welcoming smile! He has a way of making you feel like family. He introduced himself, showed us around our cottage, then went over some local restaurants, things to do, pretty much helped us plan our entire trip! He also was so sweet and had champagne and a card waiting for us. My sister had called him and asked if he could buy these items as a wedding gift to us. He even wrote in the card for her. C'mon, who does that? Just so sweet! Let me also mention, even before we arrived Rick & Dale were so helpful through email. They told us where to find the cheapest rental car, explained that it would be best to buy tickets for our Luau ahead of time because they sell out, and answered all sorts of other questions we had.

What I loved most about our stay were the beautiful early mornings. You wake up to the birds singing right outside your window. So enchanting! We would fill the bird feeder and would watch the finches eat away. We had fresh fruit every morning, yummy bagels and muffins, and delicious coffee. This place really feels like home!

Rick & Dale do give you your privacy and ask you to contact them when you need more fruit, or breakfast items. We had made a joke about wanting a papaya because we had just finished the last one, and literally the next morning Rick went to the market and got us papaya! You can tell Rick & Dale have a lot of pride in Eva Villa and in what they do.

The day we were leaving we had to check out by 10am because there were guests coming in after us. We had about 4 hours to burn before we had to head to the airport and Rick & Dale let us come back and shower in one of their empty suites after spending the afternoon at the beach. How freaking nice? You don't find that type of hospitality just anywhere. I highly recommend this place to anyone. We hope to return for a future anniversary.

Things I loved: Beautiful neighborhood (great for running, awesome hills), close to beaches, close to great restaurants, fully equipped kitchen (we cooked dinners a few night and had everything we needed), affordable, Monkey Boy(the sweet cottage cat), Hot tub & Pool, outside shower, washer & dryer, beautiful grounds, Extremely clean, Plenty of soft towels, and Rick & Dale(Two of the sweetest people in all of Maui)!

Cons: There are none!

Room Tip: -Cottage is separate from the main house. Very private and romantic.
