Sarento's has a Kihei address and is next to a Days Inn, but don't let that fool you. The beachfront location is really nice and the seafood is as good as any on Maui.

Unfortunately, the prices are as high as any on Maui too! Tropical drinks ran $ 12.50 each, the entrees were over $ 40, and our group of 4 got a bill of well over $ 200, without any appetizers or desserts.

The service was good, including the hot towel soaked in almond extract. I think we didn't get charged for the hot towel. :-)

We have eaten here many times over the last 20 years, though it use to be under a different name and ownership. Last year we were disappointed in not only the quality of the food, but the service as well. We decided to give it another try this spring and it was even worse than last year. Service was poor, too many different waiters come by at first, and the food was uneatable. The calamari appetizer had sat in a tomato sauce too long and was soft, the caesar was warm and limp and the fresh ahi was so overcooked it was grey (it is suppose to be rare), plus the putanesca sauce was overwhelming strong as it had dozens of large green cocktail type olives and not the more mild kalamata olives. We waited and waited for dinner, and once we got it, not one single server came by and asked us how it was, nor did they ask when they picked up our empty plates, whcih sat there for over 15 minutes. To make it worse, just as the server was approaching our table at the end, a large cockroach fell into my hair and I brushed it onto the floor. I did not make a scene, but the waiter said nothing and laughed, so I got up and squished it with my foot. As lovely as the location is, we will not return and we will no longer recommend it to our friends or any vacationers we meet

Would highly recommend this place to everyone. Great food and very friendly staff. They were very attentive!! Ate breakfast there everyday and dinner once. Dinner was sooooo good. I had the chicken and Ted had the pork chops for dinner one night. A little pricy BUT, what else would you expect from a 4 Diamond restaraunt!!

This place was right next to our hotel. We had breakfast there and it was really good, but for being next to the Day's Inn at $99 per night, the prices were much higher than we expected. Again, very good food, but could be a budget buster.

We loved being on the beach with the breeze in our face. The service is impeccable. The food is superb. Very accommodating for our daughters gluten allergies. Great experience! I highly recommend experiencing this place.
