This is one of our favorite places to eat on Maui. We always eat there at least once. The service is adequate - you walk up to the counter, order your food, they bring it to you when it's ready - if you're expecting more than that you'll be disappointed. It's tucked away in a little shopping area, but you can sit outside protected from the sun. But the real reason to go there is the food, we love the Pitas. They have sauces on them and can get a little messy, but they are good. Don't miss the baklava ice cream dessert either.

We read the reviews about Pita Paradise and were thinking "okay, we'll try it".
We went and were standing in line to place our order when the young man behind the counter stuck his face into the refrigerator and started coughing into the food!! We figured he was running a fever and was sick and wanted to cool down, but PLEASE send the guy out of the restaurant! Dont have him coughing into the refrigerator with the food we would all be eating. Yuk-a-Doo! The 2 adults behind the counter were oblivious to his actions. We were "grossed out" and left. If this was a California restaurant rating, it would get and "F". The health standards in this joint was null and void. Think twice and check it first before you ventureconsuming food at Pita Paradise!

We totally agree with most reviews on YELP! etc. This is THE place on Maui for what we would consider the most excellent food for the best bang for your buck on Maui. Overall, we remain totally unimpressed with Maui food and Kihei choices and have to tip our hats and thank profoundly the staff of Pita Paradise for their continued dedication to what they do. We truly hope that they will not move somewhere else (more ocean-side) and morph into another bland, class-less, overpriced and pitiful place with which the Island of Maui overflows.
Thank you for saving our taste-buds.

I have eaten at Pita Paradise several times (twice this week and also on our previous trip to Maui). Each time has been a pleasant experience, and I'd be happy to recommend this restaurant to friends looking for a tasty meal that's not too expensive.

Menu options include lots of pita-inspired items (as the name implies) - chicken teriyaki pita, greek salad pita, etc. The pitas are tasty, with fresh lettuce & tomato and nice sauces to compliment. Pitas are served with rice on the side, which is bland but works as a side-dish. They also serve several salads, as well as larger entrees (some of which feature fresh-caught fish). I appreciate that they have the same menu and same prices for lunch or dinner.

They have outdoor seating, which does not have a view to the ocean, and which can be quite hot (no cooling breeze seems to reach this patio). The interior dining area is air-conditioned, but can be noisy from the open kitchen. Service can take longer than I'd like when the restaurant is crowded, but is always friendly.

Overall, this is a good option for lunch or a non-pretentious dinner, especially after a day spent on Kamaole beach in Kihei. It isn't fancy, but is tasty and seems like a good price (for Maui at least!).
