The food here is excellent (though spicier than we like). The staff is attentive, but the kitchen is slow. We went twice while in Maui. The Pandang Curry (with macadamia nuts) was REALLY good with mahi-mahi. The shitake spring rolls were great when you got some shitake in the bite, but only ok otherwise. The tom kha soup was also excellent. But don't go if you are in a hurry. Each time we were there for at least 90 minutes because the kitchen was so slow.

A small, nondescript bistro in an out of the way location. Very good food and good service. We orders several dishes and ate family style. Yum Pla was absolutely delicious!!! We don't usually do Thai but we'll be back here soon.

Bistro was clean and well lit, not your typical "Thai" decor. Very nice.

We came to this restaurant because of Yelp reviews and were so pleased to find it. Our party of four was was seated immediately, and encountered some of the freshest and best Thai food we've had yet (and we really like Thai food). We had a hard time deciding because of the creativity of the dishes -- they are traditionally Thai but with a local twist, often featuring local vegetables or fish such as Mahi Mahi or Ahi. We settled on the shitake spring rolls for an appetizer, and all shared Ahi Larb, homemade green curry with chicken and local veggies, panang curry with macadamia nuts and Mahi Mahi, and Guaytia Pad Kimao (drunken noodles). Everything was delicious. We ended our meal with three different types of ice cream: coconut, green tea, and black sesame. While all was good, the black sesame was out of this world. We were impressed with the friendliness of our server and the manager, who kept everything moving efficiently and was attentive to our needs. We highly recommend this restaurant! What a find.

We'd heard that the service was a bit slow. Not true. Our waitress Supanpan was lovely and accomodating. When we saw them setting up tables for 12 and 8 next to us we thought we were in for a long wait. Nope. The drinks (non-alcoholic, this is a BYOB resto) arrived quickly and the food followed shortly. Thai is our favorite and this sealed it, with it's uniquely hawaiian variations. Macadamia nuts, pineapple, short ribs all seamlessly incorporated into Thai traditional. We had only curries, each delicious, and the drunken noodles with shrimp. My mouth is watering, just remembering. The loud boor at the table for 8 was the only flaw in the outing and, unfortunately, you can find one of those anywhere.

We happened to eat in this nice restaurant by chance (the next door Cafe o'Lei was full) but we did not regret it. We had some of the nicest thai dinner we had ever experienced! The service was extremely welcoming. Our waitress (Adeline) did all she could to accomodate our very diverse dietary constraints while keeping smiling (some eat only vegeterians, others were allergic to milk or to fish while some didn't like spicy food). We had a thai curry mahi-mahi with a superb sauce of coconut milk and lemon grass, an other Mahi-mahi with a spicy light curry sauce that was also great. To accomodate the vegeterains among us they prepared a special dish with stri-fried vegetables that was very tasty. Finally one of us had lamb chops that were excellent. To finish it all we had a dessert of home-made ice-cream: coconut, green tea and black sesame. We had never tasted a sesame ice-cream but were all enthused by its delicate texture and taste. To top it all the price was very reasonable ($20/person).
