“Strip mall surprise and delight!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 30, 2013

We found Sushi Paradise on TripAdvisor and (wisely) made a same night reservation for 6, which is when the restaurant opens. At 5:50, a small crowd had already gathered. This restaurant has probably 6 sushi bar seats and tables for 18-20. Those without reservations on this Tuesday evening were turned away. The owner is the chef and his wife the sole server so service and space is limited Although not wildly creative, the sushi was fresh and meticulously prepared, and the portions generous. In particular, the salmon sushi and spicy tuna roll stood out, as well as the seafood salad. Great sake and beer selection. No fuss or fawning - a place for hard core sushi lovers! Go!

“How can it be?!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

I concur with not wanting to share this place because it's mindblowing sushi. The chef is a true wonder to watch & his creations are bliss. I don't know how sushi could ever be more amazing than this. The world is a remarkable place filled with wonders you can't imagine when a strip mall in Kihei can produce this level of culinary genius.

“Absolutely the best”

Actually don't want to share this with you, cause it will make it harder for me to get in, but you will never get better sushi on the mainland that at this little out of the way place. Its hidden in a strip mall and worth the trip.

“Yes it is really THATgood”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 20, 2013 via mobile

Order a large kirin.the sushi or shashimi dinner and you are set to have a great dinner at a great price. Make reservations by calling, sit at the sushi bar, relax and remember you are here for really good sushi. Get the salmon (my favorite). I typically dont like eel but really enjoyed it here! Worth the drive. Enjoy.

“One of a kind”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 9, 2013

We seem to always have to make a reservation in order to eat, but we have done it from the parking lot and walked right in. So its best to do so. or.... NO SOUP FOR YOU!!!! This is a small place so if its busy or if it seems easier to just leave, I tell it is worth the wait. Make a reservation.
