sunsets, sea turtles, whale watching, friendly waters, life guards on duty..you never know what you will experience, sadley a pigmy sperm whale washed up to the beach while we were there, suffered pneumonia and respitory distress and was pregnant.Efforts were made to save the whale to no avail. It was sent to the University of Honolulu for study .An unfortunate tale but shows the precious, majestic marine life experience,Mu husband sstarted early in the am and witnessed sea turtles buried under the sand and then venturing back to the ocean, marvelous.

Many people don't realize the beach parks offer some of the nicest areas to use the beach. Gentle waves allow easy entry and if you want out of the sun, trees and shading are offered on nice soft grass if you get too much sun and restrooms and other amenities are available as it it a state park.

Good for a beach park, you can park on the road or parkin lot. Swim towards the rocks for colorful fish and some coral. Didn't see any turtles but they are out there. Facilities are clean. Little crowded. Snorkle early before the wind comes up.

Right in the heart of Kihei but beautiful, even good snorkeling and can catch turtles in the area. Nice sand, close to everything, but by being close to everything it is also very busy. So be aware this is a very public beach.

We enjoyed our few mornings soaking up the sun and swimming in this part of kihei. It's a large Beach, never seemed overly crowded, the washroom and shower area were very clean, the beach seemed very well kept and tidy. Loved it. And the sunset here is amazing,
