Lots of grass, lifeguard, shade, a favorite of locals, especially for birthday parties on the weekends

Good location, sandy beach, grass, picnic tables, restrooms, showers. Close to several condos.

We came here every other day during our vacation for boogie boarding and sitting in the sun. Be sure to arrive earlier, before the wind line hits (usually between 12:30-1:00 PM during our trip). We kept returning to this beach because of the great combination of beach, showers/restrooms, picnic tables, grass lawn, and swings. Perfect for families!

This not your "sterile" resort beach. This is a beach with locals and tourists alike and that what makes it great. Just beyond the sand is a park with people picnicking, grilling stuff, etc.

The condo we stayed at was across the street and it was quite convenient to walk there early in the morning before most people woke as well as hang out during sunset. Oh, almost forgot: sunsets are really spectacular here.

This was one of the first beaches we hit when we got to Kihei. I have to say what makes this beach special is the park. There is a large lawn behind the beach between the sand and the road. This lawn always seems to have groups on it playing typical summer lawn games. Boccee, ladderball, whiffleball, etc.... plenty of coolers and people just BBQing and food etc... I don't know the laws but there are plenty of beers being drank and folks enjoying themselves. I found the Keawekapu beach just a little south to be a little more mellow and less crowded, but this beach is still top notch.
