We love this place for ribs and chicken to bring back to our hotel in Makena. It's about a 15 minute drive each way, but well worth it. It's tough to say which is better: ribs or chicken... So we each got a combo plate with both. You get two sides. I had mac salad and cole slaw. My partner had potato salad and penne pasta. All four were good.

It's quick, easy, and friendly and packaged for a picnic or quiet meal on your hotel balcony. They also have a few tables inside.

It's obviously a Christian establishment (Christian radio station I and Ten Commandments posted), but besides those two things and free "save the constitution" bumper stickers, they made us feel welcome. We've been back twice.

This place is located in a strip mall with limited seating inside and out but it is worth the trip. The ribs and chicken were delicious and fell off the bone. Healthy portions leave you full and the price was reasonable. Take out or eat there, no frills, nothing fancy, fast enough service and pleasant staff.

For a no fuss meal MaMa's is the place!! Great chicken and ribs along with sides of mac salad or baked beans which are awesome!!. There are many other selections to choose from. Prices are affordable and the amount of food is more than sufficient!! Casual atmosphere, little dining area.

Had the rib plate. Tough and unflavorful. Tasted like a lean, unmarinated pork loin, the only flavor coming from the average BBQ sauce. Order took a long time to. To their credit, they were very friendly and the place was clean.

We had heard this was a great place for ribs and barbeque, but when we drove up and saw the place we immediately thought "uh-oh". Once inside we again felt that uneasy feeling- this was definitely a local hangout but it only had three tables. The place smelled delicious, it was just the surroundings that gave us cause for concern. We placed our order - ribs for me and chicken for my husband. We also ordered a side of macaroni salad and cole slaw. The ribs were wonderful! Fall off the bone good, and very little fat. The chicken was tasty as well. Both the macaroni salad and cole slaw had seen better days and after one bite we chose not to eat anymore. I hear they suggest you call in advance as they sell out of many of their specialities. The day we went there was plenty and we were the only ones in the place. One thing we found amusing is that they give you plastic knives and forks to eat with. Thank goodness the meat was tender. Once again, it was an experiment and we were glad we tried it but will not be returning.
