Booked the S. Maui outrigger canoe trip and SUP lesson for myself and a small group of friends. Both trips were awesome. Tim was organized and super responsive with the reservations and getting everything set up. Kepa was our guide for both trips and did a really great job. Lots of great tips about paddling both the canoe and paddle board before we started out. We also learned a lot about Hawaiian culture and just generally had an excellent time. Having him swim around with us and snap photos was an unexpected bonus and they turned out great too. If you're going to Maui I would highly recommend doing a tour with these guys. You won't be disappointed.

Our kayak tour guide was John who was absolutely fantastic. He was very patient teaching my mother to snorkel and was informative and fun throughout the trip. He encouraged us to ask any questions about Maui or the ocran we had. We were thrilled that we chose a private tour and feel it was a great value for us. And he took several photos for us during the trip including one of a turtle chewing on the anchor line. This was our favorite experience of our whole trip and we wouldn't hesitate to book again.

This was such a great experience with Hawaiian Paddle Sports. There were three of us that went and "Curtis" was our instructor. In the two hour SUP and snorkeling session- we saw tons of turtles, fish, and beautiful underwater caves. The instructor was really informed about local species and could really see his love and care for the ocean! Highly recommend this to anyone!

I booked a tour for my 16 year old daughter and myself . It was awesome! We were newbies to kayaking so we were super excited and super scared! But our tour guide was fantastic. He carried a genuine conversation with us not one of those rehearsed speeches most tour companies give. He let us go at our own pace, decide how far we wanted to go, where we wanted to go, if we wanted to snorkel, take pics, etc. you name it. We did not feel rushed or pressured to do anything. We saw fish, turtles, even a pod of dolphins not too far away doing flips. Scary but cool. I asked to cut the tour short because I became sick and relieved my stomach over the side of the kayak :) He was so cool about it and made me feel less embarrassed. When we got to shore he offered to take my daughter snorkeling while I rested. He spent an hour with her snorkeling! Very nice! And took amazing pics. I HIGHLY recommend a kayak tour with them! You will not be disappointed.

We recently visited Maui and being Outrigger canoe paddlers we looked up sites that may offer any activities that may do tours and lucky for us we contacted Hawaiian Paddle Sports (HPS). Initially when communicating with Tim about the tour he was very interested in our fitness and paddling background, after experiencing the tour we can see why, while we had very calm conditions with light winds, but a rough/windy day could be very trying even with expirienced paddlers, this would not suit novices. We did the OC6 paddle tour out to the Molokini crater which is about 3.5 miles (5.5kms) each way from the launch beach. Its all hands on deck, starting with carting paddles, PFD's, water etc a 100 yards or so down the beach to the canoe. Tim, our very proffessional tour guide gives a brief insight into Outrigger canoe history and how it fits into Hawaiian culture, also he goes through the traditional language and protocols which he uses throughout the paddle, it added to the whole experience.
After launching the canoe we paddled for 8 minute stints and had a 2 minute break, during these breaks Tim told us about local wildlife, cultures, surrounding Island infomation and took pictures of us all, we watched the sun rise over the mountain behind us, speccy stuff.
Once at the Crater (its about half a crater sticking out of the water a 100 feet or so) Tim anchored the canoe and handed out all the snorkells and fins and we snorkelled close to the crater wall, great viewing of all the coral, fish and in crystal clear water.
Being that we had such an idyllic day we paddled aroundthe back side of the Crater, Tim said they can usually achieve this on about 80% of the tours, other days its too rough, magnificent viewing of the rock formations and sendentry layers with water colour that changes with the depths.
After the trip back and about 100m from shore Tim took us watch the Turtles feeding and floating around, they were magnificant and werent bothered by our presence although Tim didnt go to close.
Back on Shore we all packed up and returned all gear to Tims vehicle, everyone was pretty pumped, the day concluded around 10:30am, about a 4.5 hour tour from start to finish.
When initially looking at this tour we probably thought it was a bit dear, but after doing it we can say it was the highlight of our Hawaiin holiday, we would fully recommend it, but only if you have solid paddling expirience.
