“Overrated, underwhelming”
Reviewed August 26, 2013 via mobile

Came for a dinner out without the kiddos on recommendations from friends. We were underwhelmed. The buffalo shrimp were too heavily doused in franks red hot, crab dip had very little bread and it was burnt, and service was slow. We won't be eating there again.

“Nice breakfast”
Reviewed August 25, 2013

We had a small slice of ocean view from our table on the patio and a refreshing morning breeze to keep us cool for our breakfast at the 808 Bistor. The service was very friendly and accommodating, and the food was very good. I had the short rib omelette and my wife had the banana bread french toast. Both were fantastic. Our kids stuck with kids menu fare, but their potions were huge and their food was just as good as ours. I highly recommend a stop here for breakfast!

“Good food at reasonable prices”
Reviewed August 18, 2013 via mobile

Excellent view of the sunset from her Oceanview city. Goat cheese appetizer was delicious as well as the 808 salad. The braised short ribs I ordered arrived cold which they promptly took back and took off the bill. The tenderloin medallions that I had instead were to die for. Staff was very apologetic over the cold food including the Hostest, waitress and the chef all coming out to make sure that everything was okay and apologized over and over again. Overall a good value for the money.

“Short ribs from heaven”
Reviewed August 18, 2013 via mobile

OK, I know this is what everyone raves about here but they are that good. Melt in your mouth with a great sauce...take the sauce over the top of the ribs and ask for a side as well to dip...too good. Michelle had the trio of Mahi Mahi and it was good but by the time I tried it, found the fish a bit dry...probably cooked while sitting on the plate but suspect it could have been a bit over done coming out of the kitchen. Sauces for the fish were really good, especially the ginger based one.

Had a tomato- red pepper bisque to start with the focaccia bread and it was awesome.

So $5 corkage and BYOB with split appy ant two entrees...$64. Wow, that is significant food quality with great wait staff (Thx Leah) for an amazing price. Definitely put it on your list, have the Short ribs and try something else, bring a bottle of what u like, can be new or half gone, no worries...really cannot miss for the value.
