I have to get my fix every so often, I am never let down. Sometimes they have live music its nice to go then. But The best thing about this restaurant, besides the good food and service, is that it is the ONLY restaurant on the water in Kihei. So the view and

Great food with great hospitality. What else do you need, right? Open seven days a week. 6 days for lunch and dinner, Mondays closed for lunch. Great menu. Great location with open windows to watch the ocean. Great service and reasonable prices. The owner of restaurant was very helpful explaining all dishes and varieties of spices to us since we had a mixed group of non-english and english speaking adults with us. Many native Indian people there, so we figure its good Indian food, right? We loved it so much because of the atmosphere that we went back three times during our stay here in Kihei. Thank you for being so graceous and accomodating to us.

Walked in for lunch at 12:45 and did not see a single staff member for 10 minutes, and there were five clients at tables. Selections seemed very pricey for basics like saag paneer ($16, but they were out of paneer). The chana masala I ordered was so salty that I couldn't finish it - I really needed a beer to chase it, but they don't sell any alcohol at all. When you order naan, you get two or three triangle pieces, not the whole naan. Lamb was super gristle-y, and biriyani spices were marginally flavorful. "Raita" was liquified cole slaw - no cucumber in it at all - is this some local version of it just cuz we're in Hawai'i? This got surprisingly good reviews from many folks and guide books, and I have no idea why. Great views, though, I have to give it that.

The sunset view is gorgeous. The food in general is very tasty but the portions are small. You can bring in your own wine or beer with no corkage fees. They take reservations so try to get the first 5 p.m. seating (in winter)and you will be assured an amazing sunset view. We shared the veggie appetizer plate- the samosas were our favorites and it comes with two little sauces. We then shared a lamb koorma and a bread basket with a side of raita. The curry bowl was on the small side but we dipped the bread in the curry and raita and were quite stuffed by the end. The staff was very sweet and were trying their best. Best of all, the staff was helpful, nonjudgmental and attentive. Our bill was $45 without the tip. The bread alone was worth it- have you ever tried to make your own naan or chapati? They had white twinkle lights up and it was actually pretty romantic if you didn't listen to the the tables full of tourists. We will go back, again with our own wine, for an early seating and will try a different curry. All in all, an enjoyable experience.
