Great spot in Kihei! Owner was very friendly. Food was delicious! My husband and I had coconut shrimp and fish taxis, but we should've shared one order! The tacos are very large. Great value.

My wife and I shared an order of fish tacos and each got a cup of the seafood chowder. The fish tacos were great! I didn't care for the seafood chowder.

The fish tacos are huge and very tasty. They have a mango salsa and cole slaw which is a great combination. The server makes sure that you know the proper way to eat them, which is by hand. Use you fork or chopsticks to pick up all of the food that falls out while you're stuffing your face. I think Coconuts is another essential part of the Maui experience.

We were looking for something with local seafood and not too pricey. Coconut's Fish Cafe did the trick. Everyone raved about the Fish Tacos, so we had to give it a try. We went after the lunch rush, about 2:30. Would highly recommend going at this time to avoid the very large rush around the lunch hour. We had the fish tacos, two on a plate, and an order of Fish and Chips, which included a piece of Ono and Mahi Mahi. My wife and I shared and were thrilled at the taste sensations of the Tacos, and the great tasting Fish. Lunch for two under $30.00. Can't beat that the the food was fantastic. Just a small spot, but worth going a little bit out tof the way to try it out. I see that they have another Coconut's Fish Cafe in Scottsdale, Arizona, even though the ambiance of eating the local fish in Maui has to trump the experience on the Mainland.

We had heard of Coconuts and were planning to go at some point on our trip. When a couple we met during a Luau recommended it because they had the best fish tacos, we decided to go for lunch the next day. We definitely agreed, the absolute BEST fish tacos. They were so good we went back and got take-out for dinner the same day. Only disappointment was that we didn't go until the end of our trip. A must-try!

We were excited to try this restaurant after reading the review of tripadvisor. We were staying nearby so we went for lunch and returned twice in the next three following days.

There's a reasonable choice of plates, mainly local seafood. We tried the famous fish tacos, the local style ono and the coconut shrimps and everything was fresh and tasty. The side dressings were although very good (ex : pineapple sauce, mango salad dressing and the spicy sauce on the fish).

You have to order at the front-desk and have the choice to eat there (the place is crowded but friendly ambience) or to takeout. The service is quick and the staff very nice and helpful.

With prices like these, you can't ask for better food.
