“Good fish and chips and (gluten free) fish tacos”
Reviewed March 9, 2014 via mobile

Stopped in for an early lunch on a Sunday, it was busy but turnover was quick. This is a fast and casual restaurant, order at the counter and they give you a number and they bring out your food shortly. I had the fish tacos, the fish was fresh and cooked perfectly, it was inside two double corn tortillas. They come with a lot of toppings, I had them hold the toppings and only had the mango salsa on them. The tortillas were cooked and were a bit crispy and chewy. I prefer thinner corn tortillas when doubled and warmed so they are soft and not crispy but I still thought the tacos were really good (but not the best tacos in the universe). My husband liked the fish and chips, the fish had breadcrumb like coating and he liked that it came with two types of fish, one piece of ono and one mahi mahi. The cheese quesadilla we got for our daughter was a bit too crispy and chewy for her liking, she prefers soft quesadillas. The fish tacos were gluten free, there were a couple of other items on the menu that were gf as well, the staff were knowledgable about the gf items. Overall a good fast and casual lunch experience, I would go back.

“Fish Tacos - Wow!”
Reviewed March 8, 2014 via mobile

We spent the day in the Kihei part of the island and wanted a place that would appeal to our large family. Good reviews led us here - the fabulous fish tacos left us breathless. Huge, flavorful Mahi Mahi filled tacos with a splendid mango salsa. Loved them, lived the place. (Infinitely better than the better known Maui Taco chain) We'll definitely be back next time we're in Kihei!

“Gotta get the fish tacos!”
Reviewed March 7, 2014

The fish tacos are excellent! Good fish and chips too...one piece of ahi and one piece of mahi mahi. The owner delivers your order personally to your table which is a nice touch and tells you about your meals. The restaurant is small and has limited seating on picnic table style tables.
Can get your order "to go"which many people seem to do.

“Fish Cafe with poor fish & chips”
Reviewed March 6, 2014

This is a nice pleasant basic take out kind of place. Not a service restaurant. Fairly priced but there are a number of restaurants in Kihei that have better fish tacos and fish & chips.

“Best food. Ever.”
Reviewed March 5, 2014

This restaurant was one of our favorite finds. The fish tacos were absolutely amazing. The breaded, fried squid was done to perfection. One of our party had the fish chowder and raved about it. This restaurant is so good that we ate here four times just so we could experiment with the menu options then we had to go back and have our favorite choices one more time. The restaurant gets really busy right after sunset so if you don't like crowds eat at off hours from lunch and dinner.
