“Just go!!”

You absolutely cannot beat the fish tacos at Coconuts Fish Cafe! The ingredients are fresh and the combination makes your taste buds pop- in a good way! The newly offered ahi burger is fantastic and there is no other place you can find one for this value. The owner/chef visits with customers as if they're family, explaining each delicious ingredient. Best food on Maui!

“Great fresh eats!”
Reviewed March 26, 2013

We ended up here on our first night on the island - had read the reviews on went in to see for ourselves.

Service was very quick - you order and then they bring it to you.
I had the infamous fish tacos - amazing - couldn't eat them both, they were so loaded!
My husband had the chicken ones and finished them as they were too good to leave.
A lot of locals eating in here which in my mind says a lot about a place.
Very fresh quality ingredients, not ones that I would have thought to put in a taco, but amazing combinations.

It is BYOB and it was suggested the gas station in the same parking lot for our beers.
No problem, my husband went over while we were waiting for our tacos.

“Quite Possibly The Best Fish Tacos/Sandwiches On Maui”
Reviewed March 25, 2013

Coconuts is usually the first and last place we eat at when visiting Maui. While there's a couple of places in the Lahaina area that could give Coconuts a run for their money, they quite possibly could have the best fish tacos and sandwiches on the island. The cole slaw served on the sandwiches/tacos is fabulous, as is the mango salsa on the tacos. My only complaint is that Coconuts is located in Kihei and not in the Lahaina/Kaanapali area. If they had a place on the West side, I would have eaten there a couple of more times.

“Best food, best value”
Reviewed March 24, 2013

Who'd think a little restaurant in a strip mall could produce the best food in Kihei... but they do... hands down.
Fish Taco's are the BEST.
Bring cash... but they are very reasonably priced.

“Great fresh, tender fish!”
Reviewed March 24, 2013

We went here three times during our stay in Maui; each time did not disappoint. The fish was so tender and hot with a light fresh batter. The seafood pasta was great too! It was full of fresh fish and clams in a creamy Alfredo sauce. Also, the fish tacos were amazing with a fresh light tang because of the mango. I would also recommend the fish burger. The atmosphere of the cafe is upbeat and a little loud so if your looking for fresh fish but want a quiet night, order in! Definitely will be back, and recommend for everyone looking for fresh fish!
