Delphine was an excellent guide - knowledgeable, friendly, good driver and she set out a nice lunch buffet for our group of 5. I was happy to see several new bird species at the various places we stopped.

I was looking forward to getting out in nature and doing some birding on Maui and my trip with Delphine and Laura of Explore Maui Nature really fit the bill. We explored several locations in Haleakala National Park, the Kealia Ponds National Wildlife Reserve and several other sites known for their unique birds. They were very well equipped for every eventuality, including extra binoculars, rain gear, snacks and all types of beverages. We enjoyed a delightful picnic lunch at the midpoint of our day-long trip and both Delphine and Laura regaled us with tales about how Maui snared the sun and how he made the islands. They also provided us with loads of information about the birds that we saw and facts about the island. We saw between 20 and 30 different bird species and I added twelve new birds to my life-list. I had a great time and would highly recommend this experience to anyone or any family looking to get out and see what Maui has to offer.

My wife and I have birded for a decade all over the world and so have wide experience with various bird guides and tours. Delphine was an excellent leader and notwithstanding a rainy day we managed to see all of our target birds and learn much about the island and its habitat.

There are some hikes along trails, but these are easily accessible to virtually anyone without significant disabilities. Delphine has abundant drinks and snacks and provides lunch with a table cloth! She provides binoculars, umbrellas, and rain ponchos if needed.

Highly recommended for anyone and families, even those without birding knowledge or experience.
