My wife and I are here now with our four girls. It is ok. First appearance of the building...The maintenance is so-so, having been built in 1976. A lot of windows to hallway from each unit were replaced and window perimeters not repainted anywhere. So white spackle color on tan paint everywhere. (not good first impression.) Location is good and about a mile from main town. Kind of nice not to be in middle of town hustle. Pool is basic 3' to 6' depth oval and ok. Hotel is so close to the water that they have a wall to stop tide. kind of cool to walk into the ocean.

Unit 414...basic 3 bdr / 2 bath place. Comments from a year ago (feb 2015) were mostly addressed on cracked tiles, clean floors, etc. However, rugs are old and matted, so should be area rugs on wood. Kitchen is small & white plywood cabinets are old and lower grade, but all functional and clean. Cleaning service people were quite nice.
**My main gripe is lack of air conditioning. This is inexcusable and I feel tricked as you should be proactively honest about this up front before allowing renters, especially in summer months. Being in a persistent low grade sweat, even after showering, is not really fun. The fans spin, but just dont do enough. A/C should be expected when paying nearly $500/day. My girls are not as sensitive to heat & humidity as i am, but i think A/C is not too much to ask.
So if you are here, the value is good relative to hotels. full service kitchen, W&D is great to have with family. Just be sure to ask for a unit that has A/C unless you like air temp all the time.

We were in unit #306 and it was a well equipped unit with comfortable queen beds (2) pullout sofa and chair (wihs they had another chair so 4 could watch tv more comfortably), fast elevators, nice size kitchen table but most meals on the deck overlooking the ocean and beach. Winds caught us off guard but that is Maui, no a/c but not needed. well stocked kitchen with updated appliances, washer/dryer in unit, sheets and towels nice, pool and other families very friendly. Really enjoyed shuffleboard. Very clean and well maintained. Perfect for our family touring the island rather than just sitting on beaches. Basic beach but good to see turtles and walk along the other side our first day. Went to other beaches, scuba dived, road to Hana so not there during day much. Easy drive to town and southern points, spent 3 days on west side just watch very bad traffic 4pm-7pm can take 1.5 hours instead of 45 min going east at that time from west side. would recommend this unit, owner very helpful and responsive. Fit our budget and our family.

Room Tip: Liked 306 for views of mts, protected beach pool, park. Not sure about other side. Windy but that was cool.

Our family of four had a wonderful experience at Menehune Resort in Kihei! The views were spectacular - room was very clean and well maintained. Lots of mirrors which was interesting.. Our kids are 14 and 12 (boy and a girl). We all had enough space and the master had a accordion door to close for privacy. Our daughter caught a lizard - she was thrilled. We stayed for 7 nights and had breakfast and 3 dinners in our room. We used the grills downstairs for steaks. Played shuffle board, used the pool, walked on the beach and dined at the Indian restaurant as well. KH was wonderful and we loved the ability to wash our clothes! The lanai was fantastic and where we usually dined. Loved that they had books for us to choose from including the Maui Travel Book which we referenced often. 2 miles from the skate park for our son - he was in heaven! Strongly recommend and we hope to come back to visit unit #606!

We are from Oahu, HI and spent a week on Maui. We chose this condo, Unit 124, because it is on the ground floor, great location, 2 bed/2 bath, and had good reviews. The condo did not disappoint. It was exactly as described. We took long walks along the beach (even tho the area of the beach by the condo is bit rocky) and enjoyed the beautiful view from the living room. The location is what gives this condo a 5 star rating. It is in Kihei, where there are many great places to eat, but it is not in downtown Kihei where it is very busy with hundreds of tourists on the beach, in the town, etc. It is located before you enter the downtown, and this area is peaceful. Kihei is a great place to stay if you wish to visit different parts of the island. Easy access to highways/roads, close to many popular sites, and good local eateries. Other reviews stated how well the place is stocked with essential items. The owners David and Lynn were very nice. Staying in this condo was a delight. We would stay there again. And there is an awesome Indian restaurant on the grounds, we ate there twice.

Room Tip: Unit 124, ground floor, parking right in front
