What a great hotel . Super clean, friendly staff , lots of amenities (bikes for the guests, great gym , fluffy beach towels.)it is in a great location, right across from an awesome beach. The beds are super comfy and they give you tons of pillows. Conveniently located, you can walk to several restaurants and stores. My only gripe was that I had to ask for toilet paper daily! For some reason they weren't generous with the TP. But don't let that stop you from booking a room here ! You get a lot for your dollar and I highly recommend it! :)

I booked the Maui Coast Hotel for our first trip to Maui based on reviews and Internet research. Still, I felt it might be a gamble that might not live up to our expectations.

It wowed us! We arrived for a late check in into our Junior Suite which was just as described. More important, that first nights sleep, after a full day of travel to arrive in this beautiful place, was excellent. The mattress and pillows almost rivaled ours at home.
The staff was gracious, friendly and attentive through our stay. Housekeeping did a phenomenal job of making our room up early every day as we requested, since our daily excursions had us out at the crack of dawn, so we could take naps as soon as we returned. Housekeeping was also gracious in making sure we had daily decaf for my husband. It's the attention to detail.

The hotel provided washer/dryer room on every other floor. I found this extremely useful, particularly if you attempted to pack light and go horseback ridding thru muddy trails.

We found the hotels location in Kihei to be advantageous. It felt to us we could easily navigate to all other areas of the island from here and for the most part rather quickly.

The Kamaole Beach is just across the street. Charley Young beach access is just a stroll up and then across street. There are a ton of great little restaurants within walking/biking distance. Less than a mile up the street you can take surf/paddle lessons.
This is where to stay! We look foward to our next visit to the Maui Coast Hotel.

Free bike access, wifi, pool, tennis court.
Mins walk from the beach.
Fridge is restocked everyday with bottled water.
Cute shell shaped soaps :)

Cons:

Perfect hotel for a few days relaxing. Tennis courts, nice swimming pool, great food, and excellent staff. Every evening there was live music arround the pool, so it was a nice time to relax in the jacuzzi or outside just listening with a drink.
The Hotel is in Kihei, so if you have a car you can get every beach of MAiu, Waliea, Lahaina, and others.
I don´t really recomend MAui, the beach is nice, but no nicer than beaches on the caribeean, but the hotel was ok.

Fantastic place to stay in MAUI; we'll be back for sure. Clean & modern, luxury amenities without the pretentious vibes of the luxurious resorts up the road. Bikes, gym, tennis court all in great shape, much nicer than you'd expect at these prices. The location is very good for the island!!! The staff was OK, not too talkative (which for us was great) but helpful!

Room Tip: rooms at a higher lever have a partially ocean view! ;)

Found a good deal on expedia... Came to the hotel... Staff very friendly and always smiling!! Clean room, small fridge, nice/clean bathroom, nice pool, a small walk down to the street to beach! The only complaint... We had to leave and go back home to reality:(
Hope to be back soon!

Pros:
- Spacious, clean, comfortable and well-appointed room.
- Rooms have private lanais.
- Very friendly and hard-working staff.
- Hotel is located a short walk from the beach.
- Attractive outdoor pool area with adjoining outdoor bar and restaurant.
- Free laundry facilities provided for guests.
- Room was adequately lighted.
- Hotel is located close to restaurants and shopping as well as many beaches.
- Each room has free wi-fi.
- Our room had an extra sink, microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker.
- Free parking.
- Free local shuttle service.
- There was no noise transmission between rooms on our stay and limited outside noise from neighboring properties.

Cons:
- There is a $17.50 a day “resort fee” to cover a lot of the above-mentioned “free” amenities.
- The bedding provided looked to be new and of high quality. This included a mattress protector which also appeared to be high quality. Unfortunately, the protector had a rubberized lining which prevents the mattress from “breathing”, and this can overheat a sleeper and cause a less than desirable night’s sleep.
- Because of the way the hotel building is situated on a long, narrow lot, most rooms look out on other neighboring condos and time-shares. The upper floors have views of the ocean or mountains above the roofs of those condo buildings.

Room Tip: For a partial view of the ocean, ask for an upper floor (The seventh floor is a long walk to the lob...
