Good Location, friendly Staff, clean rooms and good service! Very accomodating on military members!!! You'll be crazy not to book at this hotel.. close to the beach(walking distance). Very close to the local craft stores and nightlife.... Love the live local music by the pool KEEP THIS UP!!, cheap drinks and good atmosphere!

Room Tip: I hate elevators so I recommend bottom floor close to the Lobby

We booked the Maui Coast at the suggestion of relatives who have a time-share next dooor. We were all there for a family wedding. The hotel is a 5 minute walk, (across the street), from one of the best, (though not secluded) beaches on Maui. The room was very comfortable. Housekeeping was good. The hotel had a pool/bar but we were too busy enjoying he island sights and our family next door to take advantage. The hotel staff were very " Aloha" in a sincere and genuine way. I wish the hotel had a coffee bar. That would allow early risers, like me, a chance to get a "cuppa" without disturbing our later sleeping travel companions. The pool cafe opens at 7am, (not soon enough?) Hotel parking is very tight, with narrow slots. This is a "pain" but manageable if you unload everyone/thing (except driver) before "berthing". (it helps to have a skinny driver.) I would go back to this hotel to meet family in the timeshare, but if that were not the case, I would want to explore a different part of the island, and a differnt hotel/resort.

Room Tip: The South Maui coast runs North/South. The hotel is oriented mostly east/west. There are not many...

My husband and I are staying here and have a couple of days left before we fly home. This is a very nice hotel, quiet, with large rooms and a nice large bathroom. We are on the 5th floor and have a side view of the mountains and the other direction of Kamaole Beach #1. Just outside the hotel, turn left and cross S.Kihei Rd. at the light and there is a beautiful beach with soft sand and warm pacific ocean water. You can walk the beach going south to the boat ramp about 20 min. Boats leave there for Molokini for snorkeling. There is a small pool at the hotel and a pool restaurant. Service is a little slow for breakfast but good food if you aren't in a hurry. There is music every night as well at the pool. The hotel is situated off the busy road so it stays quiet and is a concrete building so you sleep well in the very comfortable king size bed. I notice that many of the airline pilots and flight attendants are staying here. The resort fee $17.50 daily covers parking, free wifi, and drinking water as well as a gym. Our room, booked by Expedia was upgraded to a suite. We suggest you join Coast hotels to get the best price. Service is good here and a daily newspaper with our coffee is appreciated. We'll be back.

Room Tip: 514, our room is very comfortable. A/C works well but there are plenty of breezes from the ocean ac...

Aloha and Mahalo for your review! I am glad that you found your room to be very comfortable. Please accept my apologies about the slow service at the Kamaole Poolside Cafe, rest assured this will be addressed. Nonetheless, I am happy to hear that you did enjoy the food and of course the nightly entertainment!

We certainly hope to see you again soon!

This is the 3rd time that we've stayed at the Maui Coast Hotel and we'll be back the next time we return to Maui. Located in the town of Kihei, the Maui Coast Hotel is in a great location right across the road from Kamaole Beach I and near a number of restaurants. Beach activities are all around and can be arranged personally or through the hotel.

If the beach isn't your thing or if you need a change, the hotel has a nice outdoor pool that's right next to a poolside bar and cafe.

The rooms are well appointed, clean and comfortable. They have a small refrigerator and microwave and most have a small balcony. The staff are all very friendly and willing to help.

One last thing, the rooms are virtually soundproof.

Room Tip: Junior Suites are a great value.

My wife and I spent 6 nights there, our 22 year anniversary. The hotel rooms are very clean, the staff is very friendly, especially the manager, Rudy. Pleasant atmosphere around the pool and dinning area, two hot tubs, outstanding fitness area and bikes to use on site.Walk across the street to the beach and watch a beautiful sunset everyday. Very good restaurants in walking distance, Kihei Cafe, very good breakfast, big portions, great value. Shuttle van to any area in Kihei.

The staff was very, very kind and helpful, the room was big enough, beds were very big. You can get a lot of things complementary (beach towels, blankets, knives for cutting food, wireless Internet, parking ...). It is true that there is more than 17 $ fee per day to get this things complementary, but you can pay it when you make a reservation through agency and it cost you less. When you making the reservation make sure that the fee is already included in the price. The food at the pool restaurant was delicious. The portions were very big. You could get food for less money, but it was very convenient to eat here, because you don't need to drive to get a breakfast, lunch or dinner. They have happy hour for some cocktails, bear and wine. We arrived very late at night and there was still same park space to find so parking was not a problem. I recomend this hotel for everyone.

Room Tip: Every rook is good, the uper ones have better view of the see.

Aloha! I am so happy to hear that everything turned out perfect during your recent visit with us at the Maui Coast Hotel! The staff is always so delighted to hear that they add to the enjoyment of your vacation!

In regards to the resort fee, I would like to add that when you mention agency, to avoid any confusion it does not include any online agencies such as Expedia, Orbitz, Travelocity, etc. I am glad that you made good use of all the amenities that were included in that fee.

I will also make sure that the Kamaole Poolside Cafe is aware of your great review!!

Thank you so much for your review and we hope to see you soon!
