“At least the TV's were quiet”
Reviewed December 1, 2012

As a local, with my car at a nearby repair shop, I thought I'd check in here to see what was going on with the menu. It has been updated, nice and pretty images. It says they have vegetarian offerings (grilled veggie wrap) besides the usual sports bar fare heavy on meat and potato offerings. If you don't want fries there's various options for extra.
Yes, there's TVs all over the place. Fortunately, on a Saturday, there's not much activity.
Know that the 8 or so booths as you come in are all plywood without any cushions - guess they are easy to keep clean that way.
I was seated speedily and the wait staff came by a while later for my drink. Large red plastic Coca-cola cup with crushed ice for the iced tea arrived. Tea was standard and had a clear taste (not from a powder). No refill offered.
Order taken and the Philly Cheese steak arrived promptly. I am originally from the Philly area, so I know what a good one is. This is *not* one. Meat ok, grilled onions ok, green peppers ok... it didn't fill the 7" bun. Nope. Fries were hot. A few slices of pickle instead of a long spear. Was sorry I chose this menu option.
The wait person was not that busy but never came by to check in that all was OK.
I'm lucky I don't have to have my car in the repair shop terribly often. Will definitely not return for this. I am glad Serpico's in Pukalani serves various excellent cheese steaks at a much better price. Will walk further over to Whole Foods or IHOP in the Mall nearby next time.

“new menue”
Reviewed November 13, 2012

The menue has been revamped and the food is excellent. I had a great chicken burger and the best sweet potatoe fries ever. My husband the parmesan fries. They have a good selection of beer on tap and though it is a sports bar the televisions were not overwhelming. Service is excellent and friendly. Would definately take family and friends anytime.

“good fun place in kahului”
Reviewed October 18, 2012

we went to the ale house, which should be called ale hale. thats funny in hawaiian. we had good food, plenty of it and our waitress kiani was cute and nice and took all our orders by memory. we wanted dinner with casual dress. this was it. the menu has lots of good stuff. ok, the place is loud. it has 32 tvs, two bars and pool tables. so for a family try ihop. for a couple or a couple of couples, this would be a fun place. either way, it was fun and not too expensive.

“Good Food and Drink”
Reviewed July 23, 2012

We go to the Ale House 3 to 4 times a year, we would go more if we did not live in Lahaina, which is on other side of the Island. Food, Drinks and Service are all good.

Food was sub-par but the portions were generous. The service sucked as all the waitresses just talked story with each other. Only got checked on once. You can probably do better at the Wendy's next door.
