“Feeling Nice”

not your best choice for Chinese cuisine on island, maybe the best kept and ambiance. deserving of a poor rating I give them average for friendly service and for my brother with his poor taste buds, who says they have the best manapua. beers make the meal better definitely and they have some sake and wine too. stick to the Tsingtao beer or Corona but that takes away from your awesome meal @#&!!.
the roast duck doesnt fly in my book the biggest dissapointment (oily and dry), the dim sum is just there and absolutely no WOW factor and the saimin served here is just a bowl of sodium. now to save them a bit the beef with baby bak choi is a good dish and my daughter will recommend Dragon Dragon to anyone just for the colorful shrimp chips. I will give a vote for the house fried rice.

“Skip unless you want Americanized Chinese food”
Reviewed November 9, 2010

Since there are not many Chinese restaurants on Maui, local residents often do not know any better. The dishes have been tailored to a local or American version of Chinese food. Nothing like the delicious dishes I have experienced in China, Hong Kong, San Francisco, Vancouver or Toronto (or anyplace where there are large concentrations of Chinese). The food quality is fair, dim sum is very bad, and service is okay.

“Always a pleasure”
Reviewed October 30, 2010

Once you order, your food comes quickly! Servers are very helpful with menu items, and they can help you to figure out how much food to order when having a big party. We enjoy most of their dishes, and still have others to try.

“Good if you Need a Quick Bite before/after a Flight”
Reviewed September 16, 2010

Convenient if you are traveling to the airport and need to stop for a bite, or after a weary trip from the mainland. The food is pretty good. My sons liked the noodles. Decent duck, though not as good as we have in California. The dim sum menu is limited selection, and didn't have many of our usual favorites. Have eaten Chinese food stateside and in Hong Kong and China...food at this restaurant is a mix of both, and some local flavors as well.

Must agree that at least around lunch time, the service was pretty bad. The restaurant was almost empty and the staff looked bothered that we had shown up, especially with kids. The high chair was rickety and they didn't have anything the children could drink besides soda. Food is relatively affordable given the rest of the island, but then it's away from the resort area. Restaurant itself is dark, somewhat worn and uninviting.

It's in a mall that had some interesting shops and a little show was going on in the courtyard. My littlest liked that.

If you are near the airport, or shopping in kahului, this is an o.k. place. There are so many more other choices on the island though, including Chinese, don't know why anyone would go out of their way to come here.
