I stayed twice at the Maui seaside hotel. I chose it because it was affordable and centrally located. I would have stayed a third time if I knew that they existed.
Pros: their rates are the best on the island, you support a local business, and they offer pretty good service.
Cons: this is not a resort, it is not the Marriott.
I liked the Seaside because I was on Maui to see Maui and not to relax at a resort. This key my needs both on my own and with friends. Also, when I was with friends, they upgraded us to a room with three beds. That was quite nice of them.
Overall, decent rooms but not stellar. I would rerun on my own but probably not for a honeymoon or relaxing vacation when my goal was to sit by the pool at a resort. More
