Only 50 cents for admission. You will notice a few stands selling items that are stocked in souvenir stores around the island such as pottery and jams. We picked up several jars of Jeff's Jams and Jellies. He was selling $2 jars so you can sample the flavors. (The larger jars at the airport sold for $13.) The Maui Butter was delicious.
There was also a "dollar table" stand to pick up inexpensive knick knacks. Buy your produce and fresh flowers here for the best prices on the island. Loved the taro print artist and tiki carver selling their artwork out of a van!
Come early. Wear a hat/sunscreen. Easy to find!

When you go to the swap meet, make sure you don't park in the parking lot next to the hotel. We got booted and had to pay $50 to get the damm thing off, even though there aren' t any signs telling you not to park! If you pull thru this lot and park in the community college parking you will be fine!

I am sorry that you were mislead in parking. That parking lot belongs to a residential apartment/condos, Harbor Lights, which is adjacent to UH Maui College and the Maui Swap Meet. Our parking lot is in the UH Maui College fronting the Maui Swap Meet and is accessible via Wahine Pio Rd/ Kahului Beach Rd. You can also go through Kamehameha Avenue and enter the UH Maui College campus. We have ample signs on Saturdays that will lead you to the swap meet and the parking area, which is located at the rear of the campus. Thank you.

Whether you are looking for t-shirts, jewelry, fresh flowers, art, crafts, wood carvings, tools, soaps, candles or clothing this is the place to check out. Go early, take water, wear a hat and light comfortable clothing because the sun is hot. Admission is .50 cents.... Yes .50 cents! Have fun, we sure did!

Every year one of our first stops on Maui is the Swap Meet. Here is an amazing array of clothes, souvenirs, jewelry, hats and all at a cost much less than the shops in town. Entrance fee is only .50 per person. We just like to roam around, talk with the vendors, one can meet some wonderful local people. Hours are from 7AM to 1 PM so you can go early to avoid the heat, wear a hat and bring your water bottle, (although you can easily buy food and water while at the swap meet). We bought Honu necklaces for the grandchildren and just by asking once got a quick discount. My husband bought 3 T-Shirts for $12!!
Also you can find a flourishing Farmers Market with fresh island produce, (watch out though for the imported garlic)! The raw roasted island grown Macadamia Nuts are one of my favorites as are the whale bone carvings by two ukelele singing island guys. A fun way for all to spend a morning.

If you plan on doing any shopping while in Maui, go here first! What a delightful place, all the vendors including some of the ones you find in the tourist shopping areas of Lahaina etc. We had a great time just wandering around looking at the shops. Picked up 2 T-shirts for $20.00, no tax from the same outlet that sells them for $18.00 each in Lahaina. Expect to spend a couple of hours there as they also have food vendors, carvers, massage places, clothing, Jewellery and others. Only $0.50 to enter, but it gets very busy so go early as it runs only till 1:00.
