From the manager, Alesiamae Chow- a warm, inviting, and knowledgeable art curator, who utterly exudes the "Aloha" spirit to the truly remarkable, serious art collector level art, the Hana Coast Gallery is TOPS!!!
Additionally, they sell diversified categories of art, from paintings to jewelry to handmade and stunning furniture. Our stay there could have lasted for hours; had we the time that glorious day.
Though we stayed for some time, we wish it could have gone on for much longer, due, again, to Alesiamae and the art, itself. The piece that we bought is a stunner; a water color created on gold leaf paper and framed in gorgeously treated bamboo.
Also, Hana is a naturally beautiful locale, with black (and red, i believe) beaches; has a great adjacent hotel with a wonderful open air restaurant overlooking the ocean as I recall, and though the drive TO Hana from Kahului, which contains the 617 curves, the amazing and unique natural beauty throughout the drive is incredibly stunning; then, voila!, you are in Hana, which is a really pretty small town.
Such beauty from all dimensions. Do not mis this paradise on your trip to Maui.
