Owner description: Aloha and welcome to Mauis Garden Of Eden Arboretum. An Arboretum is a park dedicated to trees. We also feature hundreds of lowland rainforest species of flowers, shrubs, and ground covers as well.We began this project in1991 with 30 acres of densely overgrown jungle, now after investing more than 20yrs of physical labor and 2 million dollars, we have created one of Hawaii's most visited botanical gardens. We have many plants found nowhere else or are uncommon to Hawaii, such as rare Amazon fruits and medicinal species, endangered hardwoods, spice, exotic nut trees, ferns and so much more...A botanical Disneyland with over 2 miles of maintained graveled walking trails...A truly educational facility with over 700 plants botanically labeled. Try to allow at least 45 minutes to explore. We feature great views and photo opportunities but no direct access to the waterfall or pools. If you are only interested in restrooms (we now have improved facilities) You can do so for free 2 miles down the road.A portion of your entry fee is donated to the nature conservatory. The cost to keep our gate open averages $1,000/dy so we sincerely thank you for your support,,,especially those who have contributed beyond our entry fee. Most botanical gardens have teams of volunteers and use chemicals to curb costs. Our entire staff are well paid professionals, and we are almost entirely a chemical free park. Thank you for visiting, we do take your comments to heart

Well worth the stop and the time to walk around. Beautiful! You can tell that the owners love their property and take extra care to maintain.

A little pricey, but everything in Maui is! Excellent plants, trees, even feed the ducks, peacock and other animals. Nice hilltop view of falls and rock from Jurassic Park film.

If you thought you saw plants and flowers o. You drive down the Road to Hana, let me tell you that you haven't seen anything yet. We stopped by on a lark and spent the next 2 hrs touring the gardens. This is another reaso. You shoul stay the night in Hana and spend you day traveling the road and stopping where you want. We had planned our baguette a d cheese lunch at a stop up the road but after viewing the Garden of Eden, we changed our minds and I'd so here with a breutiful backdrop of the Ocean to lom at. $15 per head but a best buy to us

Not sure if it was because we went in Sept but all of the flowers and plants looked dead...no I mean it dead! They don't clean up anything and it is really nasty looking. They said to make sure we go see the koi pond, well we did! The poor fish had no water! Their backs were half way out of the water!! They either had a leak of no one has been to the pond in a long time! Sad as they will charge $20 to get in and at first I had no problem. It was after we were in that bummed us out!

First of all, I think you may have been at another Garden on Maui. We DO NOT have a Koi Pond, nor do we advertise that we do. We have a Duck Pond with exotic Moscoy Ducks and Peacocks. This pond is fed year round from the mountain streams, and in never less than 4 feet deep. During September on Maui, all of our tropical flowers ARE in bloom, you will find many varieties of Ginger, Heliconia, and exotic fruit trees in bloom through out the Garden. We also have a dedicated crew who works endlessly to maintain more than 2 miles of trails and over 30 acres of land. you will find our trails safe and easy to navigate, with views you will find no where else in the world! We also have more than 700 botanically labeled plants, many of which have been raised from seeds. The fee to enter our Arboretum is $15.00 per adult, with those under 19 being discounted in price. Most of our entry fee is used to support and maintain the Garden.

Very cool hippie like garden full of surprises and awesome views. Eat your plate lunch here and make sure to pack out your trash. The gift shop had a great selection of local arts and crafts. We purchased some nice local potery. Shop clerk was warm and friendly.
