“Go for the music! and enjoy the food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 6, 2013

We are frequent long-time visitors to Hana, and rarely miss the wonderful traditional Hawaiian music and hula on Thursday, Sunday and Monday nights at the Hotel. Although we prefer the more "friendly" venue at the adjacent Paniola Bar, we had dinner with friends at the Ka'uiki Dining room and enjoyed it all! The service was excellent, the food local and fresh (wonderful ahi and monchong), and if you add the value of the professional entertainment and the "Hana tax", not unreasonable. We would rate excellent if the prices were lower. DId it all taste better because our friends picked up the tab?

“Yummy lunch but a bit pricey”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 14, 2013

We stopped at this restaurant for lunch and it was a very nice surprise. The food was delicious, I had the fish tacos and my husband had the burger, both very good and the vegetables tasted fresh. The prices are high though but the view from the restaurant and the decor make up for it. Service is a bit slow as some people describe below.

“nice afternoon break”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 8, 2013

Was in Hana for the day. This was a great place to relax, have a drink and a light snack before heading home. No one is hurried in Hana, so just relax and enjoy your time there.

“Few places to eat in Hana, and this one is not so great”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 19, 2013

We did not stay in the hotel but came here for dinner on our first of two nights in Hana. We were quite disappointed, especially given the cost. The service was slow, and the food was mediocre. The dining room was nearly empty - perhaps because of the time of night or the season - but more likely because of the food.

However, if you decide to eat here anyway, visit the gallery. It offers very nice, original art work. It is pricey - this is not the place for buying souvenirs - but we thought the prices were reasonable given the quality of the artwork. BTW, we also saw artwork by artists who are handled by Martin and MacArthur in Whaler's Village - another really good place to buy artwork and beautiful crafts.

“Nice setting, but terrible service”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 22, 2012

We stopped here for lunch on the Hana Adventure tour. It was cold in the restaurant, so the fireplace was great.

Food was OK; but it just took forever to get it. I gave up at one point and went to a staff person to mention that no one had taken our order yet. A waitress finally came to take the order, but then the food never came. Another couple came over to our table and we had a nice conversation for a while. I left for a while to look at the store; still no food when I got back. It finally arrived.
