The 20-seat bus picked us up at our hotel in Lahaina at 7:30 a.m. and we were given a map of the route and stops. First stop was at Hookipa Beach for a continental breakfast. Second stop was at Kaumahina State Wayside Park then at Hana Farms where we bought some delicious banana bread. Next stop was at Black Sand Beach before a tasty lunch at Hana Fresh.

After lunch, there was a brief stop at Hana Bay. Drove by several places owned by celebrities but didn’t stop. After a brief stop at Wailua Falls we then had a one-hour stop at Oheo Gulch (7 Pools). We continued on to Tedeschi Winery & Tasting Room where pineapple wine can be sampled and bought. This was the last stop before we were dropped off back at our hotel at 6 p.m. It was a long day. There were also about 5 other unscheduled stops during the tour. The driver/guide did a good job of narrating.

This tour was fantastic and had tons of beautiful views and vistas. I don't know the other bus drivers who work on the tour but I feel confident in saying that our bus driver Josh was the best tour guide/driver I've ever had the pleasure to meet. He was very entertaining and informative and let me sit up front in the passenger seat to take better pictures and took pictures for me when the views were on the drivers side. He took us to an amazing little side of the road RV restaurant for lunch, made sure we got to see every view and waterfall there was to see and even surprised us with a chameleon he found in a tree while we were checking out one of the locations! Great guy, deserves a ton of respect for being amazing at his job. Overall the tour was wonderful and even though it was 12 hours long it didn't feel that long and was enjoyable throughout. Highly recommend it, and if you can, ask for Josh to be your driver because it will make the experience that much more fun.

We booked our Road to Hana Tour (Deluxe) with NCL, we were on the Pride of America and would recommend the Deluxe tour to everyone. Luxury Van, only 8 people. Our driver (Russ) loved his job was very informative and really took great pride in his work and making sure we were comfortable. The lunch he fixed was great, but the presentation was done with such great care and pride, it really made my husband and I feel very special.

While visiting Maui a few weeks ago and deciding on a tour of the Road to Hana, we contacted Bryan Miner of Maui's Private Guide. Bryan is a student at the University of Hawaii and leads private tours in Maui. He provides the transportation and great history of the Hawaiian islands. Bryan specializes in small group tours and is very reasonable for a full day of adventure. Rather than take a tour bus, we traveled in his almost new 6 passenger van and were able to stop whenever to see special sites. I would highly recommend this private tour for anyone visiting Maui.

We booked our tour through Ohana Fun Hawaii and were picked up at our condo at 7:00 a.m. sharp Friday February 22, 2013 by Josh; he is an excellent tour guide and we highly recommend you request him when booking your tour. He had island treats for us all throughout the day including strawberries, pineapple, grapes, banana bread, Maui chips, just to name a few. We stopped at a Banana Bread stand for some warm from the oven banana bread and a food truck on the side of the road for lunch - they had amazing fish tacos! Unfortunately there were flash flood warnings that day so we were not able to swim in any of the ponds at the bottom of the numerous beautiful waterfalls we saw along the way. On the way back we stopped at the winery and Josh found a chameleon in a tree that we enjoyed taking pictures with. It was an amazing day; thanks Josh! Dawn and family.
