I booked this place for a night after reading the reviews and thinking that as long as we checked out on time, we'd be okay. When we pulled up to the place, my jaw dropped. It looked like a trailer trash dump. I wanted to turn the car around but my husband encouraged me to look at the inisde of one since I already gave my credit card info. When i asked Mrs. Nakamura if I could see one of them she said that I had to look in the window as no one was allowed in without her. I asked her if she would go with me and she said no. Although that was not anything but a warm welcome, I peeked inside one of the "cottages" (the name is a total misnomer, they are not what you might think of as either cozy or cute), and was only able to see the kitchen/living room area which did not look clean nor appealing in any way. And the properties on either side were in sad shape as well. I was much relieved to get out of my reservation and stay around the corner at the Hana Bay Hale which, for another $30, was a world of difference away in terms of cheerfulness, fabulous ocean views and aloha spirit!
