This was a great place to stop of our way to Hana! The black sand beach is beautiful. Several hiking paths you can take. We continued to the lava fields after the beach. Great views up and down the coast.

Absolutely loved getting to see the black sand. Stopped her and ate lunch on my drive to Hana. The views are amazing.

As you’re making your way through the Road to Hana, this is definitely not a stop you want to pass up. The Black Sand Beach, Lava Tube, and surrounding hikes are beautiful. You will want to plan on spending at least 45-60 minutes here! We drove the Road to Hana ourselves by utilizing the app Shaka Guide, and highly recommend that. You’re able to manage your own time and stop for as long (or as short!) as you’d like at each place.

Stunning views from this well laid out park. Park encompasses a cemetery. Walkways are easy to maneuver and meander along the walked grave sites. Black sand beach, lava bridge, blow hole and beautiful blue waters. Road is quite rough to get into this free park. Plenty of parking. Glad we stopped!

Stunning views of the beaches and short trails to walk and experience the beach with black stone marbles. Few trails to walk around to experience more views of the beach.

You can plan to spend couple of hours. There is camping area if you like to camp. Assume you need to book well ahead.
